Dhanush And Aishwarya Rajinikanth Love Story: The Tale That Simply Started With Rumours

The early start

Dhanush was just 16 when he decided that he wanted to get married before he turns 23! Yes, you read that right. Dhanush is the son of famous director and producer, Kasthuri Raja. While Dhanush wasn't keen on joining the flourishing film industry down South, it was his brother, Selvarajan, who coaxed him into giving acting a shot. Dhanush started enjoying the art of acting and made it his full-time profession. The world of acting not only made Dhanush a successful individual but also the happiest man on the Earth.

Was there an affair?

Along with an envious career, South Indian film industry gave him the most wonderful life partner as well that one could ever hope for. It all started with rumours! Rajnikanth's daughter, Aishwarya, was a good friend of Dhanush's sister. Media speculated that something is going between Dhanush and Aishwarya. Though Dhanush went on-record to say that there was nothing between them, media was not ready to accept that. Dhanush has always maintained that Aishwarya is just his sister's friend but the rumours of their affair were not ready to fade out.

Arranging the love

Kasthuri Raja's and Rajnikanth's families are amongst the most influential families in South India. While the speculations of the affair between their children were spreading like a forest fire, they thought that this match is actually a good one. The families decided to arrange their wedding for good.

A meeting was arranged for Dhanush and Aishwarya so that the two could talk about a possible future together. Aishwarya is an accomplished singer and dancer. She also holds a degree in corporate law from Ashram School of Law. Dhanush was blown by the simple and down to earth nature of such a brilliant person. He was in awe of her kind heart. After that meeting, they both realised that they are perfect for each other. The couple has an age difference of two years which didn't go well with the conservative cult but Dhanush expressed that he has no problem marrying a woman older than him.

Both the families decided to arrange their wedding and it was a lavish affair, the cost of which speculated for the years to follow!

The traditional wedding

It is a known fact that Rajnikanth is a very traditional man and the wedding of his eldest daughter followed the same route. The wedding took place on November 18, 2004. The venue was Rajnikanth's house. The traditional Tamil wedding began early in the morning where Dhanush and his family were received warmly by the bride's side.

The bride and the groom wore traditional clothes. The house was decorated with exquisite floral arrangements to welcome the guests from the film industry. Various politicians were in attendance as well. Hundreds of people gathered outside the Rajnikanth house to get a glimpse of the new couple and the nuptials. The couple posed with the family and looked ecstatic to have found each other.

The star-studded reception was followed by an even grand reception, held at Mayor Shri Ramanathan Chettiar Center. People poured in like swamp flies. Except for a few, every guest had to go through a security check. Some were even asked to show the invitation card.

A happy married life

It has been more than 13 years that the couple has been married and they have only grown more in love with each other. On October 10, 2006, they welcomed their first son, Yatra Raja and on June 21, 2010, they welcomed their second son, Linga Raja and completed their family.

Speaking about his sons and wife, Dhanush once revealed to a leading tabloid:

“If romance had a scale from 1 to 10, it would be just my films. After that, come my sons. I am a very bad husband. My wife has to adjust with that.”

Dhanush and Aishwarya had an arranged marriage but they have only grown more in love with each other with every passing day. Both Dhanush and Aishwarya are doing well in their respective careers. Together with their sons, they make a perfect family and we hope that this family only sees the light of the day.
