DWTS will air live on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, while the episode will be available for streaming the next day on Hulu. The first premiere night of DWTS featured male contestants, and among others, Ezra Frech grabbed significant attention.
Ezra is performing with pro dancer Daniella Karagach, and on night one, he delivered a tango to Kelly Clarkson's song Stronger, leaving everyone in awe. Ezra is someone who has dealt with a congenital limb difference since the time, he was born. Amid his wonderful performance on Day 1 of DWTS, let's have a look at what a congenital limb difference is. Along with that, we will also find out if Ezra is dating someone.
Ezra Frech has established himself as a Paralympian. His career began at a young age. In 2019, when he was in his teens, he made his international debut. Following that, he earned a gold medal at the World Para Athletics Junior Championships. He was also awarded two silver medals at the Parapan American Games. In 2020, at just 16, he participated in the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Ezra also won two gold medals in track and field (high jump T63 and the 100m T63) at the 2024 Summer Paralympics. Now, Ezra is ready to compete for the famous Mirror Ball trophy. For him, he finds his purpose in establishing normalcy with disability. Speaking about the same, Ezra revealed on ESPN:
"I genuinely believe my purpose on this Earth is to normalize disability, be an example of what’s possible as an amputee."
Ezra was born with a congenital limb difference. According to the reports, those who have this condition are 'born with arms, legs, fingers, or toes that are missing, not fully formed, or formed differently'. In Ezra's case, he was born without his left knee and fibula (calf bone) and one finger on his left hand. When he was just 11 months old, he received his first prosthetic leg.
By the age of 2, Ezra had the lower portion of his left leg amputated so that he could wear his prosthetic leg more comfortably. The surgery reportedly took 15 hours to be completed, and as he also didn't have one finger on his left hand, doctors transplanted a toe from the amputated foot and gave him a second finger.
To mention, Ezra is not the first one with a missing limb on the show. Before him, Amy Purdy from season 18, who had both legs amputated, and Noah Galloway from season 20, whose left hand and leg were amputated, also entered the show and reached the finalists' panels.
Ezra Frech surely left everyone in awe, and his female fans have been wondering if he's single or dating someone. In a video that was posted back in August 2026, Ezra was questioned by his fans about whether he was dating someone. He shook his head, seemingly confirming he's single. For the unversed, Ezra was dating equestrian Gable Gering. The couple revealed in 2024 that they started going out in 2023. It couldn't be confirmed when they broke up or why.
