Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleCaleb Shomo, Beartooth frontman, is once again in the headlines due to his personal life. Just two months ago, Caleb made a bombshell revelation as he announced that he was gay. This came as a shock, as Caleb was married to Fleur Shomo for the past fourteen years. Now, the singer is all set to part ways with his wife, as he filed for divorce.
As per a recent report by Page Six, Caleb Shomu and his wife have jointly filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this week. The couple does not have any children despite their marriage of fourteen years. For the unversed, he tied the knot with Fleur in April 2012.
It was in May 2026 when Caleb announced that he was a proud gay man in a deeply emotional statement. While this revelation was extremely big, his wife, Fleur, also had no idea of her husband's preference. She was deeply 'hurt' by her husband's sudden public revelation. But she vowed to give him support in times of need.
Caleb's fans rooted for him and praised him for his powerful statement. One user acknowledged how hard it is to come to terms with being queer. A fan also lauded him for coming out openly, talking about his preferences, and marveled at his wife's support amid the extremely shocking time.
While many slammed Caleb for portraying a fake liking towards his wife, and wasting her time for fourteen years, Fleur kept defending him. Caleb also talked about the most difficult time when he talked about his preference to his wife of fourteen years. He, in a podcast, revealed that he was just bawling and finding it hard to verbalize his emotions. He said:
"I was just bawling my f–king eyes out trying so hard to verbalize. There’s something there that I’ve been running from for a long f–king time, and I don’t think I want to run anymore."
Immediately after the whole situation went viral, he started therapy and was on the road to forgive himself. He was raised in a hyper-religious family and had faced depression, suicidal thoughts, and eating disorders.
As soon as the news of his divorce surfaced, netizens expressed their thoughts on Reddit. One user wrote, "Listening to his music, I always assumed his personal inner battles he sang so much about had more to do with whether or not he was religious anymore. Now I can't help but listen and feel like he was just singing about his battle with homosexuality."
Another one commented, "He went from a pudgy-looking basement dweller in Attack Attack! To a beautifully flamboyant gay man in Beartooth 2026. I really like Beartooth a lot. I listen to them all the time. I can't really find a bad song. They helped me during the most difficult time in my life last summer when I went to rehab. I Was Alive is such an amazing song."
Another penned, "Every good relationship is built on a foundation of friendship. In situations like this, people will always be hurt, but it's hard to be forever angry or hold a grudge for your friend being who they are. You didn't know and were caught by surprise, but the same thing happened to them and surely wasn't easy too."
One netizen commented, "If she is supportive of him, I think that's really all that matters. I am sure that is such a hard thing for both of them. Hard for him coming to terms with who he is after years of living a different life, and hard for her coming to terms with the end of their marriage. I hope the best for both of them and that they're able to continue supporting each other."
