A gorgeous wedding gown with more than 50,000 crystals sewn on it is making all the noise on social media. It has broken the Guinness World Record for having the most crystals on a bridal outfit. The dress consists of 50,890 Swarovski crystals and was created by the Italian bridal shop Michela Ferriero. It made its debut at a fashion show in Milan in April 2023, and since then, the attire has been in the spotlight.
Talking about the dress, it is made of a transparent material. As per various reports, the garment of the dress was made after the designer collaborated with a pattern maker since the base of the garment was extremely crucial as would need to support thousands of crystals. With a sweetheart neckline, even the gloves of the beautiful attire are covered with jewels. As per a report, the body-hugging dress had semi-sheer fabric, a corset top, cutouts and an open back. the report says:
“The brand’s ethos has always been to create not just unforgettable and high-quality dresses, but works of art.”

The attire was made in 200 working hours as it required intricately sewing each crystal. Throwing more light on the making of the dress, the official website of Guinness World Records states:
“The individual crystals were first sewn into the tulle base of the dress, the crystal fringes on the bodice, the gloves and lastly the crystal chains on the back to provide a cascade of light.”
Guinness World Record shared a video on their official IG handle, in which a model was seen walking the ramp wearing the exquisite dress. The video received a lot of likes and comments from the netizens. One of the users wrote, “I wanna get married to the dress.” Another one commented, “How to wash it.”

Before Michela Ferriero, a Turkey-based designer, Ozden Gelinlik Moda Tasarim Ltd held the Guinness World Record as he created a dress with 5,024 crystals. It first appeared at Forum Istanbul Shopping Mall, in Istanbul, Turkey in 2011.
