The most talked about contestants of the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 9 and famous for being called ‘Kabir Singh ki jodi’ by the judges, Vishal and Madhurima more than their dance performances, were in the spotlight for their nasty behaviour towards one another and their attitude on the stage. Salman Khan, the producer of the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 9 had introduced a new concept of bringing exes together on one stage. And the most controversial jodi of the exes was Vishal Aditya Singh and Madhurima Tuli. During the entire season, they had fought on numerous occasions and had made some nasty comments about each other’s behaviour and blamed one another for their bitter past relationship. Post Nach Baliye 9, Vishal entered the most controversial reality show, Bigg Boss and before entering the show, gave some inside details about his ugly relationship with Madhurima.
Vishal Aditya Singh has entered the BB house as a wild card contestant and before entering the house, in an interview with the Times Of India, he revealed details about his split with Madhurima. Vishal revealed that besides finding him desi and not fluent in English, she had felt that he wasn’t financially strong. Vishal also talked about their fights and said that she would fight with him every time before they used to go out for events and parties. Vishal recalled once asking Madhurima that whether she was ashamed to be seen with him in public, and she had agreed. Vishal also stated that his ex, Madhurima was also abusive.
Even during the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 9, Vishal Aditya Singh had confessed that he still feels for his ex, Madhurima and wished for things to be different. But due to each other’s ego, things had taken an ugly turn and they had developed hatred towards one another. During the same interview, Vishal further mentioned that he hasn’t spoken about his split and Madhurima’s behaviour before, but their relationship had affected his work and he was in a terrible state during their courtship period. Vishal has always been averse to marriage and his ugly relationship with Madhurima has only made his resolve stronger and now he just wants to adopt a girl.
Vishal Aditya Singh further revealed that he never wanted his relationship to end with Madhurima Tuli as he was madly-in-love with her. He further recalled how it was like being together and said, “When we were together, I was perpetually in a predicament whether to laugh or cry. She must have broken up 50-odd times during our courtship, over the pettiest of issues.” Vishal had even made the same confession during the show, Nach Baliye 9 and blamed Madhurima for their drifting relationship and his anger. In an interview with the Mid-Day before participating in the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 9, when Vishal Aditya Singh was asked, “Are you nervous about teaming up with your ex for Nach Baliye 9?”, he had replied, “The only reason I was hesitant to do this show was the 'ex' factor. But my friends and well-wishers explained that the show has come my way at an opportune time and asked me to try my hand at it. This will be my first reality show.”
Reality shows focus more on behind the scene drama between contestants. To this, Vishal Aditya Singh had said during the same interview, “I have made it clear that I won't give them [the makers] fodder by indulging in behind-the-scenes drama. I would prefer it if they didn't know about our fights. I am not hungry for publicity. I don't believe in creating fake fights and getting votes. I don't want to disrespect her either. I want to do this in a healthy spirit.” Revealing if rehearsals are tough for them considering breakups can lead to bitterness, Vishal had continued, “Break-ups often lead to fights. So, whenever we meet and if the topic [of the relationship] arises, we end up fighting. But at the end of the day, we are both participating to win. It's not going to be easy.”
During that time also, Vishal Aditya Singh had blamed ex, Madhurima Tuli for their breakup. When asked why did the two called it quits in the first place, Vishal had retorted, “She was not right for me. When someone starts belittling you, it becomes difficult to live with them. I am desi, and she had a problem with that. I don't converse much in English, I choose to talk in Hindi. We belong to different schools of thought.
