Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli is undoubtedly the best batsman in the world. However, time and again, he has admitted that his wife, Anushka Sharma is his inspiration. The doting husband has often credited Anushka for his success and called her the strongest pillar of his life. Ahead of the third Test series against Australia, the former India captain once again expressed his gratitude to his wife, Anushka Sharma, for bringing abundant love into his life.
In a recent RCB Podcast with Danish Sait, Virat Kohli got candid about his personal life and indulged in a heartfelt conversation about his darling wife, Anushka Sharma and their beloved daughter, Vamika. Virat revealed that Anushka had made a lot of sacrifices as a mother and mentioned how she made him realise that his problems were nothing. Reflecting on the same, he said:
"The way things have been in the past two years, we have had our child and, as a mother, the sacrifices that she made have been massive. Looking at her, I realised whatever problems I had were nothing. As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don’t expect much because that is the basic requirement."

He further talked about how he looks for inspiration at his home and added that his wife, Anushka is his biggest source of inspiration. Talking about how he had a completely different perspective of things before meeting Anushka, Virat shared that she urged him to change for the better. He added:
"When you look for inspiration, you start from home and, obviously, Anushka has been a big inspiration for me. My life had a completely different perspective. When you fall in love with a person, you start processing those changes within you as well. Her outlook towards life was different, and it urged me to change for the better and become more accepting of things."
Virat Kohli also talked about Anushka’s motherhood journey with their daughter, Vamika Sharma Kohli, and called it a transforming process. He lauded his wife and shared how she has been able to take all the challenges that have come her way. Sharing how he draws strength and inspiration from the same, Virat said:
“We have had a child. It has been an unbelievably life-changing and transforming process, for parents yes but for a mother especially. For a mother, it’s life-changing completely. And how she has been so strong through it and how she has been able to take all the challenges that have come her way. And I have seen everything. I have seen the transformation happen. That gave me so much strength and inspiration to say what I am experiencing is not even 5 per cent of what she has gone through.”

Virat also talked about his professional life and mentioned how he has transformed, but he added that seeing the transformation that Anushka went through after embracing motherhood made him realise the unconditional love she holds for their daughter, Vamika. Sharing how Anushka literally gave her life to their baby girl, Virat added:
“It is selfless, it is unconditional. You also need to put things in the right perspective. You can’t put your issues which seem huge to you in the forefront and make them into something, you know, catastrophic going on, wherein you realise that this is life. I play a sport, this is my profession but when I see the transformation that happened with her, that for me is life. That for me is far bigger and far, I mean you can’t even put it in the same bracket. It’s not even comparable because it is literally your life being given to another life which has to grow up in front of you.”
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot on December 11, 2017, in a dreamy wedding ceremony at Borgo Finocchieto in Tuscany, Italy. They are one of the most loved celebrity couples and enjoy a massive fan following. Virat and Anushka were blessed with a daughter, Vamika Sharma Kohli, on January 11, 2021. It's been over five years since the two have been blissfully married, and now, they are happily performing their parenting duties with their baby girl. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Virat Kohli is set to play his 200th international match against Australia at the Holkar stadium in Indore.
