Touch Your Heart actor, Shim Hyun Tak recently married his Japanese wife, Hirai Saya. The couple first tied the knot in a Japanese style wedding ceremony, and now they held their second wedding ceremony in Korea. Wedding ceremonies of every ethnicity are beautiful, and to get a glimpse of both countries’ wedding punctilios was indeed magnificent. Shim Hyun Tak and his wife, Hirai Saya uploaded their wedding pictures from both the ceremonies on their Instagram accounts, and we are in awe.
For the unversed, Shim Hyun Tak is a Korean actor who met his now wife, Hirai Saya, when he was shooting for a television show in Japan. The couple garnered much attention as soon as their relationship went public, more so because Hirai Saya is 18 years younger than Shim Hyun Tak. On July 8, 2023, the couple had their first wedding ceremony in Japan and on August 20, 2023, they held their second wedding ceremony in South Korea.

Shim Hyun Tak and his wife, Hirai Saya, took to Instagram to upload their wedding pictures, which looked straight out of a fairytale. On August 20, 2023, Shim Hyun Tak married and held his second wedding ceremony with his wife, Hirai Saya, as per Korean norms. Shim Hyun Tak, via his agency, Humane Entertainment, dropped in super gorgeous pictures from their wedding ceremony and captioned it as:
"I couldn't be any happier to have such a wise and lovely Saya as my wife. After the last tears I shed during my Korean wedding, I will no longer cry and become a strong husband for Saya and her family. I promise to protect my wife for the rest of my life."
Shim Hyun Tak and wife, Hirai Saya’s first Japanese wedding ceremony was more of a private affair with only close friends and family. It was hosted by Jun Hyun Moo, and their second Korean ceremony was hosted by the renowned comedian, Moon Se Yun. Several A-listed celebrities and actors graced their second wedding ceremony like, Lee Sang Woo, Shin Sung and more. Singers, Lee Seung Chul and Shin Sung also sang a congratulatory song in honour of the newly-wed couple.

Shim Hyun Tak and his wife, Hirai Saya, appeared in channel Chosun’s love-documentary show, Lovers of Joseon where the former revealed that it was love at first sight for him. Shim Hyun Tak further divulged that he visited Japan for a shoot, but as soon as his eyes fell on Hirai Saya, he couldn’t concentrate anymore on anything else but her. Hirai Saya was the general manager of the famous toy manufacturing company, Bandai, who was representing her company at the shoot location. The duo talked a bit on their first meeting and then gradually became friends to lovers to now a married couple.
