Tanishaa Mukerji made a lot of buzz with her stint in the reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. She is the daughter of veteran actress Tanuja, and her sister Kajol is also a famous name in the industry. While Tanishaa also tried making a name for herself in the film industry, she failed to do so. However, not many know that Tanishaa had a terrifying incident while shooting for her debut film, Ssshhh.
In an interview with News18, Tanishaa recalled the terrifying incident from her debut film, Sssshhh, wherein she fell off from a mountain and suffered a brain injury. However, despite the big hiccup, Tanishaa continued shooting for the film, and would often pass out on the sets. The actress revealed that was brain damaged and had a massive concussion.

After the unfortunate incident, she had to go for regular EEGs for one year as they would constant check if the swelling in her brain had reduced. She was quoted as saying:
"I was brain damaged. I fell off a mountain and I had a massive concussion. For pretty much one year of my life, I had to go for regular EEGs because you have to check if the swelling in my brain had reduced. It took one year for it to actually come back to its normal size."
In an interaction with IndianExpress.com, Tanishaa revealed how her sister, Kajol, reacted to her comment about 'not being a star'. Tanishaa revealed that they share a strong relationship, and her sister, Kajol, understands her and the intention behind the comment. She revealed that Kajol is proud of her for being honest. Tanishaa was quoted as saying:
"We share a very strong relationship, there is a sense of… See, Kajol understands the intention behind everything I say, and I am sure she is proud of me for being honest and real. That’s what we have been taught by our mother to be who we are, always."
For the unversed, the Mukerji sisters make sure to celebrate each others' victories and wish each other on important occasions. However, Tanishaa often faced comparisons with her sister, Kajol. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Tanishaa shared how it feels to go through constant comparisons with her sister, Kajol. The actress revealed that there is no such thing as a comparison between the two, as they had different journeys. She also shared that they never thought about it, and they never even compete with each other.
