For almost a month, the Indian roads were deserted and on April 29, 2020, our hearts were also left deserted when we had seen pictures of Irrfan's last rites. At the mere age of 53, Irrfan had left the world as he had taken his last breath at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital. His dialogue, 'Main tha, main hoon, aur main hi rahunga' from his film, Haider, is a perfect way to describe his extraordinary life. He was so full of life that he had never let his illness became the headlines of every newspaper.
A day after Irrfan's death, on April 30, 2020, the actor's wife, Sutapa Sikdar took to her Facebook account and penned her last goodbyes for the great soul. She shared an unseen picture with Irrfan, wherein she can be seen hugging him. She posted the image as her profile picture on the social media networking site. Along with it, she wrote, "I have not lost I have gained in every which way." Indeed, a beautiful way to bid farewell to the love of her life. Check it out below:
The actor's son, Babil also took to his Instagram handle and thanked everyone for their condolence messages. He shared an Instagram story with a note that can be read as "I'm deeply grateful for all the condolences you beautiful friends are pouring in for me. My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best way possible. In trying times, please don't speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week - ten days when the further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me! – Irrfan."
