Sushmita Sen is an inspiration to millions out there. At the mere age of 24, when actresses were busy making their career choices, the gorgeous Miss Universe had taken the boldest step of adopting a little angel, whom she had lovingly named Renee. She didn't stop there, in the year 2010, Sushmita had adopted her second daughter, Alisah.
Everyone had always lauded Sushmita for her brave step. Her daughters, Renee and Alisah adore her, and she too never misses an opportunity to shower her love on them. The actress often shares glimpses of her life with her little angels on her social media handles, and it's pure bliss to witness their bond.

A few moments back, Sushmita took to her IG handle and posted a picture of an advertisement hoarding which talked about the bias, "Bina shaadi ke child adoption kaise kar sakti ho?" with "Why the bias" written below it. Sharing her reaction to the hoarding, Sushmita penned:
"This seems to be doing the rounds in Mumbai and Delhi... heard this one too many times before I decided to stop listening. #SingleMotherByChoice #WhyTheBias."
Sushmita has always encouraged millions with her inspiring words. Sometime back, Sushmita had attended an event at Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Hyderabad where she had spoken about how adopting her two daughters, Renee and Alisah, was not an act of charity but a way to protect herself. Speaking about motherhood, the 43-year-old diva had shared that she might not be the biological mother of her daughters but she has given birth to them from the heart. Talking about the same, She had said:
"In the natural birth, the mother and the child connect through the umbilical cord but in adoption, the mother and the child are connected by this higher power, a connection that you cannot cut off. I have had the privilege of experiencing it twice. To become a mother who has given birth from the heart. I have not missed a day of feeling the joy of motherhood."

On June 29, 2020, Sushmita had taken to her Instagram handle and had penned a note for her elder daughter, Renee. She had posted a childhood picture with Renee and had captioned it as:
"Sometimes I look at these pictures & wonder, when I see Renee & me even at age 2 yrs & 26yrs old...the child was always me! It’s magical to realise I am the one who’s been mothered all along! I love you guys!"
We certainly look up to Sushmita as an inspiration!
