On November 11, 2023, Sushmita Sen made a scintillating appearance at the Diwali bash hosted by Shilpa Shetty. The diva was accompanied by her ex-beau, Rohman Shawl and her elder daughter, Renee Sen. Speaking about her OOTN, Sushmita dazzled in a champagne gold-hued sequinned saree that featured crystal work on the borders. She teamed it with a sexy, deep-neck blouse in the same hue. A dainty neckpiece, open tresses, glam makeup and her billion-dollar smile added stars to her overall look. Her daughter, Renee, opted for a grey-hued, custom-draped saree with ruffle detailing in blue at the borders and sleeves. On the other hand, Rohman Shawl looked dapper in a white kurta-pyjama teamed with a navy-blue Nehru coat.

Incidentally, with her attire for the Diwali bash, Sushmita Sen seemed to shell out some major sustainable fashion goals for everyone there. According to a fashion critic page, Diet Sabya, on Instagram, Sushmita re-draped one of her older sarees, which she wore for her appearance in an earlier season of the show, Koffee With Karan. Indeed, with such a choice, Sushmita did prove that it is normal for actors to repeat outfits more than once.
In her personal life, Sushmita Sen was previously in a relationship with the model-turned-actor, Rohman Shawl. However, the duo publicly announced their breakup and revealed they would remain friends. Earlier, on November 8, 2023, Sushmita surprised everyone when she arrived at Vishal Gurnani’s pre-Diwali bash, along with her ex-beau, Rohman. Moreover, what caught everyone’s attention was that not only did the two of them arrive at the venue holding hands, but Sushmita even appeared to get cosy with Rohman while posing for the paparazzi.

In an earlier conversation with Sonal Kalra at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2023, Sushmita retrospected her film career and opened up about the reason behind her decision to take a hiatus from the same back in 2015. She revealed getting tired of doing the same kind of roles repeatedly and added how she didn’t like being type-casted for just a handful of roles. In her words:
“The reason I left films was because I was tired of doing the same 201 expression to 2010. That was all I had to do. There was one good song and so on. I was looking for more. As I was getting older, I was not happy with that. I wanted more, I wanted to be student again. I want them to teach me and tell me you suck at this job, let me teach you how it is really done.”
