Sushant Singh Rajput’s death mystery is unfolding the hidden aspects of his life every other day. Every day begins with some new angles and twists. A case that had started off with the theories of depression has now taken new turns with the WhatsApp chats of drugs being shared online. A lot has been said about his personal life, and his past relationships. Sushant’s relationship with Kriti Sanon and Sara Ali Khan has also come under the media scrutiny. And now, Rhea Chakraborty’s latest interview with India Today has brought attention on SSR’s Bangkok trip with his friends. In the interview, Rhea Chakraborty had mentioned about Sushant Singh Rajput’s Bangkok trip with his six friends, Kushal Zaveri, Siddharth Gupta, Abbas, Mushtaq and Sabir Ahmed. She had stated that the actor had spent Rs 70 lakh on this trip to Bangkok and had travelled via private jet. Now, India Today has connected with Sabir Ahmed, ex-assistant of SSR and he has made some startling statements about the trip, mentioning that Sara Ali Khan was also a part of it.
In an interview with India Today, Sabir Ahmed, ex-assistant of Sushant Singh Rajput mentioned that the Bangkok trip in question was for the PRO team of the late actor. Sara Ali Khan and SSR had worked together in Kedarnath and she had also joined the boys on the trip. He said, “We were seven people: Sushant, Sara Ali Khan, Siddharth Gupta, Kushal Zaveri, Abbas, Sushant's bodyguard Mushtaq, and me. It was Sushant's trip with his PRO team, Sara Ali Khan and two staff members. It was in December 2018 and we travelled by private jet."
He then revealed that during their Bangkok trip, Sara and SSR were in their hotel only, except for the first day. He said, "Only on the first day, all of us went to the beach. But later, Sushant and Sara were in the hotel for the rest of the trip, while his friends went out to explore. They stayed at a luxurious island hotel in Bangkok."
Later on, he was asked why the group had to cut short their trip, and he replied, “There was forecast of a tsunami, so they decided to return. But Mushtaq and I stayed back as there were limited flight tickets. We stayed in Bangkok for a month and Sushant gave us his ATM card for our expenses. Later, Samuel Haokip transferred us money as per our need from Mumbai."
Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend, Samuel Haokip had earlier stated that SSR and Sara were dating during the Kedarnath promotions. Taking to his IG handle, he had mentioned how during Kedarnath promotions, Sushant and Sara Ali Khan were totally in love and it was a childlike romance and innocence. Samuel had also hinted that Sara’s decision to break up might have been influenced by Bollywood mafia. On July 24, 2020, Bollywood actress, Sara Ali Khan had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted two pictures of her father, Saif Ali Khan with the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. The picture was taken when both the actors were shooting in Paris for their film, Dil Bechara. Along with the pictures, Sara Ali Khan had written an emotional note for her Kedarnath co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress had revealed the last thing she had found common between SSR and her father, Saif Ali Khan and it could be read as "The only two gentlemen that have spoken to me about Sartre, Van Gogh, telescopes and constellations, guitars, The Northern Lights, cricket, Pink Floyd, Nusrat Saab and acting techniques.
