Sooraj Pancholi rose to fame with his debut film, Hero opposite Athiya Shetty. Son of actors, Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, Sooraj grabbed the spotlight for his handsome looks and physique. Thereafter, he became a part of mediocre hit films, such as Satellite Shankar and Time To Dance. Despite his various endeavours in the film world, unfortunately, Sooraj has frequently hit the headlines due to his personal life. For the unversed, in 2013, Sooraj was arrested on charges of abetment of suicide for his ex-girlfriend and actress, Jiah Khan. After some long years of battle at the court, Sooraj was acquitted and given a clean chit in April 2023, after a lack of evidence.
In a recent interaction with Sidharth Kannan, Sooraj Pancholi made some candid revelations about his father, Aditya Pancholi and his controversial life. Sooraj mentioned that his dad has indeed done some wrong things in his life, which has ended up giving him the reputation of a bad man. Nevertheless, with time, he has forgiven him, as he understands that his father needs him in life. In his words:
“My father has a certain image as this bad boy person, who has done many things wrong. I don't agree with it, of course, he has done things wrong. He is my father, I love him no matter what baap ek hi hota hai. I don't agree with the way he has handled things in his life but in a way I have forgiven him because I know I am his only support in life. I want to make him proud.”

In the same interview, Sooraj revealed that the most troublesome part of his father’s life took place when he was small, and as a result, he neither understood nor was aware of it all. However, Sooraj added that it was only after he made his film debut that he learnt about the various past fiascos in which his father, Aditya Pancholi got embroiled into. He mentioned:
“At that time, mujhe pata bhi nahi tha ki kya ho raha hai. Maine yeh sab realise kiya industry mai aane ke baad jab main logo se mila, jab maine news padhna shuru kiya. When I met people, hen I understood ki okay, these are the things that have happened. It, of course, hurt me a lot but like I said I love my father.”
In the concluding segment of the interview, Sooraj was asked whether he, as a son, has ever confronted his father, Aditya Pancholi for the wrongdoings that he did in his life. To this, the former gave a well-thought answer and shared that over the years, with just one look into his father’s eyes, he has understood that the latter has realised and accepted his mistakes. As a result, it has not been like a formal discussion between the father-son duo.

Back on September 3, 2023, Sooraj Pancholi, in an interview with The Times Of India, revealed that after seven years of the death of his ex-girlfriend, Jiah Khan, he had found someone new in his life. Calling his new relationship, the most beautiful thing in his life, Sooraj mentioned that he felt wonderful taking care of his special someone, while the latter too, took care of him.
