Embracing motherhood may be the biggest blessing showered on a woman, but it is not at all a cakewalk. From undergoing physical as well as emotional changes to dealing with other issues, pregnancy comes with a lot to deal with. But everything vanishes with the arrival of a child. Every pain taken by a mother becomes worth it. Since the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020, news of celebrities embracing parenthood is making the headlines. From Arpita Khan Sharma and Aayush Sharma, Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava amongst other celebrities have welcomed their little bundle of joy. And the latest couple to join them is Tere Sheher Mein fame, Dhruv Bhandari and choreographer, Vaibhavi Merchant's sister, Shruti Merchant. Dhruv Bhandari rose to fame with his stint in the serial, Tere Sheher Mein and had also done films like Click, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Pathayeram Kodi, Paisa Ho Paisa to his credit. On June 20, 2017, the handsome hunk had tied the knot with his ladylove, Shruti Merchand, who is the sister of well-known Bollywood choreographer, Vaibhavi Merchant. After four years of marital bliss, the duo had embraced parenthood on January 18, 2020, and had welcomed a beautiful angel in their lives.
On February 29, 2020, Shruti took to her Instagram handle and shared the name of her darling daughter. After one month of welcoming her angel, Shruti revealed the name of her ‘baby B’ and wrote, “On 18.01.2020 we were blessed with the arrival of our little Miss Baby B! Introducing our bundle of Joy, AARANA BHANDARI.”
On January 18, 2020, Dhruv Bhandari and Shruti Merchant received congratulatory messages on embracing parenthood. The couple was on cloud nine as they had welcomed a beautiful angel in their life. Confirming the news to the Bombay Times, Dhruv remarked, “Shruti and I are ecstatic. The feeling is so overwhelming, it’s difficult to describe.”
Despite hailing from the glam world, no one knew about Shruti Merchant’s pregnancy. In the same interview, when asked if it was a conscious decision to keep her pregnancy a secret, Dhruv Bhandari had retorted, “That definitely wasn’t the intention. It was just that I was inactive on social media. I did share a few posts during the pregnancy, but mostly, we just wanted to enjoy the journey on our own.” When probed if they have thought of a name for their daughter, Dhruv had continued, “We wanted to see her and hold her first. To bring their little angel home, the proud parents had decorated their humble abode with balloons and toys giving a dreamy vibe. Shruti’s sister, Vaibhavi Merchant had shared the beautiful pictures on her Instagram handle. After the birth of their daughter, Dhruv’s fans were eager to know his baby’s name and in interaction with Bombay Times, Dhruv had stated, “We wanted to see her and hold her first. We do have a few names in mind though, so let’s see.”
The lovely couple had tied the knot on June 20, 2017. It was a few days later their wedding that Dhruv had posted the first-ever ‘Mr and Mrs Bhandari’ picture with his wife, Shruti. In a post-marriage interview with The Indian Express, Dhruv Bhandari had revealed the details about how he had proposed his ladylove, Shruti Merchant in Turkey. Dhruv had remarked, “I have been dating Shruti for more than four years and marriage was the next step. I actually surprised her and my family when I proposed to her for they knew this was inevitable. While on our show in Turkey, I organised an exceptionally romantic surprise for her and proposed to her. Her reaction was a ‘huh’ as she was completely taken aback. I took help from my promoter and booked an entire restaurant. It was well decorated with lights and roses and it was magical.
