The season of monsoon weddings has just begun! Here is another celebrity couple who just tied the knot and entered the holy matrimony. We are talking about television heartthrob, Dhruv Bhandari and his longtime girlfriend, Shruti Merchant.

Dhruv rose to fame with his stint in Tere Sheher Mein and his better-half, Shruti is famous Bollywood choreographer, Vaibhavi Merchant’s younger sister. Shruti is also a choreographer by profession.

Dhruv and Shruti’s secret wedding was talk of the town last week, but none of them confirmed the news and the wedding pictures were also not out! But now, the newlyweds are comfortable enough to share the happy news of their wedding with their fans.
Dhruv and Shruti had an intimate destination wedding in Mauritius, attended by close friends and family. It was a grand three-day affair, enjoyed by all! The couple tied the knot on June 20, 2017.
Talking about the same, Dhruv said:
Shruti and I are fiercely protective about our personal lives. We like to enjoy our private moments without any intrusion. That’s why we decided to talk about the wedding only after tying the knot.

He also shared some interesting details of his destination wedding. He said:
It was a three-day, low-key affair with just family and close friends in attendance. The engagement ceremony was held on June 19 and pheras the following day. We danced like there’s no tomorrow at the beach party on 21st.
It was a love marriage, the couple met while working together for the Bollywood musical, Taj Express. Talking about how he met his wife Shruti, he said:
Sparks flew the moment I saw her and I vowed that I’d end up with her. We got along like a house on fire since we had many things in common. Surprisingly, we had both studied in the same college, but had never meet then.

Dhruv is the son of veteran actor, late Mohan Bhandari who passed away in 2015 due to brain tumour. On his special day, he was missing his father a lot.
Talking about the same, he said:
Dad doted on Shruti and they shared an amazing bond. They would listen to old Hindi songs together. Around three years ago, when he was unwell, he told me, ‘Tu iska khayal rakhna. Bahut achhi ladki hai ye’.
He further added:
“We didn’t get emotional as we knew that he was around to bless us. He loved celebrations and I hope our guests had a great time.
