Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are two of the most iconic actors of Bollywood. They started off their respective careers at almost the same time, and went onto carve a blockbuster career before them. Within a field as dynamic and competitive like the Indian cinema, they have managed to keep their stardom uptight. Nevertheless, there have been quite a few instances where the two of them have embroiled in nasty fights and arguments. Fast forward to now, SRK and Salman have let bygones be bygones and have extended a friendly embrace to one another.
Shah Rukh Khan once graced Salman Khan's popularly hosted show, Dus Ka Dum, wherein he made some candid revelations about his career. However, what stood apart was the manner in which he credited the latter for being a key factor behind whatever he has achieved all this while. Well, SRK credited Salman and his family for being a strong support behind his success. Moreover, he also talked about the latter’s father, Salim Khan blessing him on various instances. He mentioned:
“Maine sirf dhakke nahi khaaye hain, inke ghar ka khaana bhi khaaya hai. Salim uncle blessed me and I would say because I ate food at his home, I have become successful and have become Shah Rukh Khan.”

Going further, Shah Rukh Khan then remarked how Salman Khan behaves to be elder than him, whereas in fact the latter is younger to him by a month. SRK teased Salman for pretending to have a lot of attitude, letting everyone assume that the latter is elder to him. Addressing Salman fondly, Shah Rukh said:
“He is younger to me by a month and a half. Ye dadagiri se khada hota hai toh sab samajhte hain bada bhai hai, par hai nahi ye.”
Back on December 27, 2024, Shah Rukh Khan hosted an ‘AskSRK’ session on his social media handle, X (formerly Twitter). During the same, one of his fans reminded him to wish his contemporary, Salman Khan on his birthday, who turned 58 on the same day. Replying to the fan, SRK penned a witty response and revealed that he has already wished him personally, and wouldn’t want to do it publicly. Dropping a picture of Salman, SRK then said:
“I know and I have wished him. I don’t do it on social media because it’s personal na?? Waise yeh picture bhai ki awesome hai!! #Dunki”

Despite being contemporaries for a long time, it was back in 2008 when Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan had an ugly war of words at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash. The fight was such that it left a lasting impression on their equation, and they didn’t speak to each other for many years. According to reports, Salman had accused SRK of being selfish. When SRK retaliated and made a rude remark on Salman’s show, Dus Ka Dum, the latter threatened the former of punching his face. As things escalated soon, it was Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri, who immediately decided to leave the place with her husband.
