MS Dhoni‘s wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni is waiting for the release of her upcoming film, Let’s Get Married, which marks her debut as a producer. The first film under Dhoni Entertainment is all set to release on July 28, 2023. Ahead of the film’s release, Sakshi interacted with the media and opened up about her relationship with her husband, MS Dhoni after 13 years of marriage.
In a recent media interaction at an event, Sakshi Dhoni got candid about her relationship with her husband, MS Dhoni and revealed that after years of marriage, there is not much romance between them. However, she added that they do engage in lots of banter and conversation most of the time. Talking about the same, she said:
“Men, they chase you first, and then after marriage, they are, ‘OK! She is mine only, where is she gonna go‘. Men come in that comfort zone. We are just bantering with each other the whole day, there is hardly any romance which is a good thing in a way for both of us.”

Sakshi Singh Dhoni also talked about her bond with MS Dhoni’s mother and shared that she met her just a day before her marriage. However, she added that she and her mother-in-law have become like friends and they share everything with each other. Sakshi also mentioned that it was a strange experience as a newlywed when she started living with Dhoni’s parents while he was away from home playing cricket for India. Sharing how her bond with Dhoni's mother developed, Sakshi said:
"I met my mother-in-law one day before the marriage. The first time, yes! So today, touchwood we have a very good bond and we are like friends actually, We share everything. Earlier when I was new at the house and Dhoni was out for games, I was waking up, like literally they were strangers to me. From there, till now our relationship has really developed. She is an immense support to me. I cannot think of not being with her in the same household."
Talking about her relationship with her in-laws, Sakshi Dhoni revealed that her father-in-law is very strict, while her saasu maa is chilled out. Crediting the former for Dhoni's disciplined nature, Sakshi shared that everyone in their family is very disciplined. She further revealed that her in-laws never said 'no' to anything and added:
"She has always been chilled out. Actually, my father-in-law is the strict one, and that's why Dhoni is disciplined. Our family is very disciplined. They have never said no to us for anything. I think space is one of the most important things."

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Dhoni make for one of the most adorable couples in the cricket world. Time and again, Sakshi has proven that she is the strength of her husband, MS Dhoni, and the darling husband often credits his success to his wife. For the unversed, Dhoni tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Sakshi Singh Rawat, on July 4, 2010, in an intimate wedding ceremony in Dehradun, and they were blessed with their daughter, Ziva, in February 2015. The family lives in their farmhouse in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
