However, it is his rumoured girlfriend, Sara Tendulkar's father, Sachin Tendulkar's adorable post for him that caught everyone's attention. Taking to his X handle (previously known as Twitter), Sachin penned a small and sweet birthday note for Shubman, which can be read as:
"Happiest birthday to you @ShubmanGill. May the upcoming year be full of runs and great memories."

Soon after Sachin penned the heartfelt note for Shubman, netizens started retweeting on the social media platform and pouring in their hilarious reactions. While some guessed Shubman's reactions to Sachin's post, others speculated that the tweet might have been done by Sara. One of the Twitter users commented, "Ye aapne type kiya hai Sara tweet?" While one internet user dropped a picture of Sara with text upon it that reads, "Papa aane se pehle jaldi tweet kar deti hu," another one commented, "Real account se aao Sara." One more comment can be read as, "Did Sara post this from your acc."
Earlier, it was reported that Shubman Gill started dating Sara Ali Khan after his breakup with Sara Tendulkar. However, it was his and Sara Tendulkar's identical picture that once again ignited their dating rumours. It so happened on February 14, 2023, Shubman shared a solo picture of himself from the year 2021, in which he could be seen dining in a magnificent restaurant in London. Soon after Shubman shared the picture, netizens dug out a picture of Sara, wherein she could be seen posing in the same restaurant. Decoding the entire situation, a Twitter user had tweeted:
