Saba Ali Khan is no longer the lesser-known member of the Pataudi family. Though she prefers to stay away from the limelight, but she enjoys a huge fan base just like her celeb siblings, Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan. Saba is an avid Instagrammer who loves sharing glimpses of her family and often treats us with hidden gems from her archives.
Saba shares a warm bond with each family member, especially with her bhabhi, Kareena Kapoor Khan. In a recent interaction with The Time of India, Saba talked about her bond with Kareena and stated:
“It is a very good relationship, we respect each other a lot. Bebo has been very kind. We enjoy each other’s company and I appreciate all that she has done for me. Recently Bebo messaged on Soha’s birthday, using a lot of adjectives. So this one person messaged me saying ‘don’t react, don’t get upset, this is unnecessary comparison’. But I didn’t see any comparison there. Soha and I are different so Bebo used those words. In fact, I was pleased that she used a family picture with me in it, instead of Soha’s solo picture or from her modeling days. I find it warm and feel appreciative about it. This just shows that tamasha dusre log paida karte hai.”

Saba Ali Khan’s entire family has been in the spotlight. Her father, Mansoor Ali Khan, was a renowned cricketer, her mother, Sharmila Tagore, is a veteran actress, and her siblings, Saif and Soha, are in showbiz. But she, on the contrary, has stayed away from films. When asked about the reason behind the same, she stated:
“It was a path I never pursued because, deep down, I felt I didn’t have the talent for it, but then again, I never tried it. I am very self-conscious and shy as a person, which didn’t allow me to get into films. Bhai and Soha have the ability which I didn’t possess. I felt that I never had the aptitude to be a film star.”

Saba Ali Khan is a jewellery designer by profession. After the death of her father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, in 2011, Saba was named as the custodian of the royal trust of Bhopal. She, as mutawalli of Aukaf-e-Shahi Trust, takes care of the properties in Bhopal and Saudi Arabia worth Rs. 1000 crore. While Saif had taken the Nawab of Pataudi title after their father’s death, Saba had chosen to be the Chief Trustee of the Bhopal Trust. She is the first woman in the country to be the head of Auqaf-e-Shahi since the end of the princely era. Besides this, she also looks after her mother’s Rs. 2700 crore worth of property.
