Rohit Sharma to leave Mumbai Indians post IPL 2024

Apart from being India's captain, Rohit also showcased his ability by being the captain of the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL. During the same time, he was able to bring the winner's cup to the team not only once but five times in the years 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. However, in 2024, Rohit Sharma's captaincy was taken over by Hardik Pandya. And for the same, Hardik has been receiving a lot of flak, wrath, hate, and more from the audience. Now and then, Hardik is getting booed at the stadium. Amid all this going on, we recently came across a report that suggested that Rohit may leave the MI team soon after IPL 2024.

Rohit Sharma is reportedly not happy with Hardik Pandya's captaincy 

As per a report by News24, Rohit Sharma will possibly leave his team, Mumbai Indians, after all these years. As per the same report, the player will also be available for the next IPL auction. According to the same report, an MI player has informed that Rohit is not at all happy with Hardik Pandya's captaincy, and there is a rift that has been going on in the dressing room as well, thereby making the situation even worse. The source also added that a lot of arguments have been going on between the two players regarding several decisions, which is causing a poor atmosphere in the dressing room as well. 

For the unversed, Mumbai Indians failed to win all three matches, they have played in IPL 2024 so far. Well, it's worth mentioning that no such report about Rohit leaving Mumbai Indians has been officially confirmed by the team or the player himself.

When Rohit Sharma requested the crowd not to boo Hardik Pandya

Since when Hardik Pandya opted for the captaincy of Mumbai Indians, he has been facing tantrums. Be it on social media platforms or in the playgrounds, Hardik is being targeted for hate comments, abuse, and constant booing. The same happened back on April 1, 2024, when MI played a match against Rajasthan Royals. However, the audience started booing the captain, Hardik, yet again.

In a video from that match that went massively viral, Rohit could be seen at the perimeter of the field. However, what was praiseworthy was when the former captain of MI asked the crowd to calm down a bit while they were ceaselessly booing Hardik Pandya.
