On February 17, 2024, Richa Chadha took to her IG stories and gave an adorable glimpse of her baby bump. In the short clip, the actress was seen resting on a couch while her pet cat was seen playing alongside her. Richa was cutely caressing her furry pet and giving it a sweet pat on the head. However, what caught our attention was Richa's baby bump, which she flaunted for the first time ever since she announced her pregnancy. Atop it, she wrote:
“Cute, pink veiny ears, cotton scarf and purring, Mama ka chipkoo.”

On February 9, 2024, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal shared a collaborative post on their respective IG handles and announced that they were expecting their first child. The duo dropped two pictures to share their good news with their fans and left everyone ecstatic. The first picture had "1 + 1= 3" written on it, while the second was an adorable photo of the duo. Richa and Ali were seen lost in each other's eyes as the lens clicked them. Alongside the pictures, the couple penned:
"A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world."
Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha's filmy love story kick-started back in 2012. For the unversed, Ali and Richa had met each other on the sets of their film, Fukrey, for the first time. Over the course of the film's shooting, Richa and Ali had spent a lot of time in each other's company. If reports are to be believed, by the end of Fukrey's wrap-up, the two actors were very much in love with each other. After this, they started appearing together at public events, and soon, they made their relationship official by dropping their mushy pictures on social media. After dating each other for all these years, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal became each other's forever on October 6, 2022.

Once, during an interview on the All About Eve podcast, Richa Chadha revealed how her mom reacted when she told her about her budding romance with Ali Fazal. The actress shared that her mom confused him with Pakistani artist, Ali Zafar, and thought that Ali was married and had two kids. Richa recalled her mom saying:
"I don’t know if you’re aware, but he’s married with two kids."
