Recently, a photo of Ranbir Kapoor from his film, Animal was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit. In the photo, the actor can be seen looking dapper as he flaunted his well-toned abs. In the next photo, Ranbir posed with his trainer, Frankie Ramdayal. There's no denying the fact that the glimpse of Ranbir's physical transformation to a second blew away the minds of his fans.

As soon as the photo went viral on Reddit, netizens started bombarding the comment section. While some users lauded the actor for his determination, others started wondering if he had given up on alcohol. However, a certain section of netizens even felt that such a transformation could not be achieved without steroids.
Reacting to the photos, one user wrote, "He mentioned using clenbuterol and steroids. People who take exogenous steroids have high propensity of having girl child..having Raha also is a tale." Another user commented, "Did he stop drinking? He has to, right? I can't imagine it's easy to bulk up this fast without giving up drinking and smoking?" A third comment reads, "Recently he has quit both. He was an occasional drinker. Not everyday, as he always had to be on a strict diet all the time and his workouts are early morning."
For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor is speculated to play the lead role in Nitesh Tiwari's much-anticipated film, Ramayana, alongside Sai Pallavi. Earlier, reports were rife that Alia Bhatt would play the role of 'Sita' in the movie, but Alia reportedly had some date issues, which is why she had to back out from the film.

However, amid all these rumours made rounds in the media, a source close to Ranbir told Koimoi that Ranbir Kapoor made some sacrifices as he is all set to play the role of 'Ram' on-screen. The source added that the actor had stopped eating non-veg and abstained himself from drinking alcohol. The source further mentioned that Ranbir didn't decide to sacrifice these things for public image, but the dedicated actor wanted to feel pure like Lord Ram.
