It was in 2017 that Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had exchanged rings after dating each other for 9 long years. After delaying their wedding plans due to work commitment, the duo had finally decided to get married in 2020 as per Bengali rituals. But the COVID-19 pandemic came as a curse for them and their traditional wedding had to be delayed.
However, in April 2020, Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had announced that they had a court marriage in February 2020. On November 15, 2021, the duo got married in a traditional wedding ceremony as per Bengali traditions. The next day, Kunal had shared a picture on his IG handle. The duo had twinned in pink, and the actress had flaunted her shankha and pola, which are the red and white bangles worn by Bengali married women. Alongside the picture, Kunal wrote:

On November 18, 2021, Puja Banerjee took to her Instagram handle to share a beautiful video in which we can see her performing the griha pravesh ceremony. She looked like a doll in a peach-coloured saree and had her wedding veil pinned on her head. As she and Kunal are back in Mumbai, we can see her sister-in-law and some elderly ladies of the family giving her a warm welcome. She captioned the video as:
''Thank u nanand @s_m2282 for this lovely swagat and all my sasumaas and sima didi.''
On November 17, 2021, Puja Banerjee had shared an emotional video on her IG handle, in which she was seen performing the heartbreaking ritual of Kanakanjali. It is a Bengali ritual in which the bride has to take a handful of rice and throw it backwards into her mother's aanchal before leaving for her sasural. For her vidaai, Puja had worn a peach saree with golden foil print over it. She had channelised her inner Bengali married lady by flaunting her mangalsutra, a big red bindi, and shankha-pola. Alongside the video, she had written:
“Vidaaii i love u meri maaaa.”

Since their wedding, Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma have been delighting us with snippets from the same. On November 16, 2021, the actress had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared two pictures as a newly married bride. In the photo, we could see Puja wearing a pastel pink-hued chiffon saree which she had paired with a matching cap-sleeved blouse. She had gone sans makeup to style up her look and had worn a red-coloured bindi, and a unique mangalsutra.
On November 15, 2021, just before the main event, Puja and Kunal had their haldi rasam and the first pictures of the duo drenched in it had gone viral on social media. Puja’s friend, Monalisa had shared a picture of the bride-to-be, from her haldi ceremony. As the actress had posed for the camera, we could see her wearing a yellow saree with a red border on it. On the other hand, Kunal’s friend had shared videos of him and we had witnessed how he was enjoying the ritual.
