Diamond merchant, Russell Mehta and his wife, Mona Mehta's daughter, Shloka Mehta is the badi bahu of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. Shloka is happily married to Akash Ambani and together, they are blessed with two adorable munchkins, Prithvi and Veda. However, it is Mukesh and Nita's bond with Shloka that often captivates our minds. From sharing the closet with Nita to holding hands with Mukesh, Shloka has indeed become their daughter, and proof of the same is yet again found as the doting father-in-law can't stop praising her.
As Mukesh Ambani graced the 50th India Gem & Jewellery Awards, he was heard giving a wonderful speech at the event. At the same time, Akash Ambani, bahu, Shloka Mehta and others were spotted being seated in the audience. In a video surfacing on the internet from the same event, Mukesh was heard revealing how the jewellery business families usually send their daughters to families within their communities. However, the Ambanis were immensely fortunate to welcome Shloka into their lives. He said:
"It is said of the Palapuris that they don't share their businesses or their daughters. Their businesses go from one generation to another and their daughters only go to their community. We were fortunate five year ago, we got Russell's daughter, Shloka, came into the Ambani family. All my friends really thought that Nita is a great diamond picker and she picked Shloka from the Palanpuri family."

Further, Mukesh mentioned that people thought it was Nita, who selected Shloka as the badi bahu of the family. However, Shloka and Akash, being childhood sweethearts, couldn't understand the brewing romance between them. But Mukesh also revealed his gratitude for having Shloka in their family and mentioned:
"But unfortunately, we were all wrong. It was Akash and Shloka, who were in school together and we didn't very much realise their romance. So Shloka is the true diamond from you industry and from the Palanpuri industry in our family who radiates warmth and wisdom for all of us. So as I was walking in, right, I asked that what is the composition of the gem and jewellery industry? And now I realise that we are Kathiawadis. So sometimes partnership between Kathiawadis and Palanpuri only make the opportunity bigger. And bigger the pie, better for all of us."

On March 30, 2024, Mukesh Ambani was seen entering the venue of the 50th IGJA Awards along with his doting badi bahu, Shloka Mehta. The businessman looked dapper in a crisp black suit paired with a pristine white shirt. On the other hand, it was Shloka's simple yet chic OOTD that caught our attention. Shloka opted for an ivory-hued salwar and palazzo set and paired it with a pastel blue dupatta. Shloka completed her look with neutral makeup, open wavy tresses, and a pair of ivory-hued peep-toe heels.

Earlier, a video from Shloka and Mukesh's visit to the Babulnath temple surfaced on the internet. At that time, Shloka was expecting her second baby. Thus, in the video, Mukesh was seen holding Shloka's hand as they made their way out of the temple and was seen taking care of his bahu. We also spotted Akash Ambani following them.
