Daughter of actress, Neena Gupta and former West Indies cricketer, Vivian Richards, Masaba Gupta, tied the knot with actor and her long-time boyfriend, Satyadeep Misra, on January 27, 2023. The duo had an intimate court marriage in the presence of their family members and loved ones. Masaba was earlier married to producer, Madhu Mantena, however, the duo got divorced in March 2020 after five years of marital bliss.
In an interview with Vogue, Masaba Gupta opened up about her secret wedding with her beau, Satyadeep, and revealed that they both didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money to please people. Talking about how they both have done that before, Masaba stated that they both were clear about making the day about themselves. Sharing details about the same, Masaba added:
"The idea of choosing something intimate was because we're both conscious of not wasting ridiculous amounts of money. We are extremely private people, and we want to be in the presence of family and loved ones for memorable days like these. We've both been there before, and we saw that it doesn't make sense to do things that stress you out on such an important day. This is truly a private moment for both of us, and more than anything, we wanted to enjoy it."
Every girl wants to celebrate her special moments with her parents and loved ones, and Masaba Gupta was no different. For his darling daughter's wedding, Vivian Richards flew down from the Caribbean to shower his blessings on his princess. Talking about the biggest moment of her life, Masaba said:
"It meant a lot that my father flew down from the Caribbean. It's the first time in my life that my stepfather, my father, my mother, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law are all going to be in the same room celebrating together. For me, that's the biggest moment of my life, and I wanted that to be intimate."
In the same interview, Masaba Gupta opened up about her love story with her husband, Satyadeep Misra and revealed that the two met on the sets of the show, Masaba Masaba. The designer shared that she and Satyadeep complete each other and he brings peace into her life. Sharing how he always brings out the best in him, Masaba said:
"I met him on the sets of Masaba Masaba, and interestingly, he was playing my ex-husband's character in season 1. He's an actor himself and he used to be a lawyer for a decade before that. I think we just connected on the fact that we could have conversations; we both love comfort, peace, and a healthy lifestyle. It's been a big change in my life where I've started eating better, and I think a big part of my fitness journey has kicked off because of him."
Further, Masaba Gupta talked about how she and Satyadeep share similar traits and love simple things. She also revealed that they both crave to spend some quality time together in their comfort zone, which makes their relationship special. Mentioning how the entire world was dead to them when they are together, Masaba said:
"We both like simple things–coming home to each other and just talking about nothing, watching something completely ridiculous, and having a good laugh. I think that's something we crave. The reason we connected is that when we come back home, we're dead to the world–it's like anything that happens in the outside world doesn't affect us. That's always special."
Masaba Gupta and her groom, Satyadeep Misra donned pink-hued ensembles from the shelves of her fashion label, House Of Masaba. Well, not just the couple, their family members also opted for wedding wear from the designer's label, and they all twinned in the hues of yellow. Talking about how she designed wedding wear for everyone, Masaba said:
"We wanted the whole family to wear House of Masaba, and we wanted them to wear it in yellow tones, whereas Satyadeep and I will be in pink hues. Mom (Neena Gupta) is wearing a beautiful mint green candy swirl printed organza saree with an embroidered border and gota work in the pallu. We've paired it with a rosehip blouse and a scalloped neck for her. She's the mother of the bride, so she has to be extremely comfortable. Her husband–Vivek, is wearing a mustard kurta with a hint of print. My father is wearing a beige-yellow kurta. The idea was to put people in things they enjoy wearing."
A few moments back, taking to her IG handle, Neena Gupta shared a beautiful picture with her daughter, Masaba from the latter's wedding. The doting mother was going through mixed emotions as her princess got married to the love of her life, Satyadeep Misra. Expressing her feelings and joy, Neena announced the good news of Masaba's wedding and penned:
"Aaj beti ki shaadi huee dil mein ajeeb see shanti khushi abhaar aur pyaar umda hai sharing with you friends @masabagupta @instasattu."
Congratulations, Masaba and Satyadeep!
