Manushi Chillar made her country proud when she was crowned Miss World in 2017 after 17 years. Certainly, she stunned everyone with her graceful personality and never-ending beauty at the global level. Thereafter, she made her big Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar in the 2022 film, Samrat Prithviraj. She also made her graceful debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2023. And now, she opened up on some unheard details about her life.
In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Manushi Chillar opened up about why she did not choose to follow her original goal of pursuing medical studies. For the unversed, after her Miss World win, Manushi was head-on dedicated to complete her medical college entrance test. However, since destiny had other plans, she was offered her debut film, Samrat Prithviraj at that time, which made her leave the entrance midway. Speaking about the same, Manushi mentioned:
“After winning Miss World, I worked really hard to clear my medical entrance in college. I always wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to use the experience I got as Miss World and combine that with my medical degree. But life had other plans. I never thought I want to pursue acting as a profession.”

Going further in the interview, Manushi opened up about the enormous change in her life that she has seen, post lifting the Miss World crown. She reveals how she was just three-years-old when Priyanka Chopra had won the same title. Moreover, she highlights how she never had any experience of life in the glamour world before entering it. Speaking more on it, she added:
“So I didn’t even have first hand experience seeing the journey, how life changes. When I had that experience myself, I realised going back to college was not possible because you lose anonymity. You are popular, life changes. There’s a certain amount of privacy and anonymity you want as a student. As great a change this is in my life, it comes with a lot of love from people for something that happened to me.”
In the concluding segment of the interview, Manushi also spoke about the constant peak and scrutiny over her personal life that she has to endure, as a result of being in the film industry. She reveals that at the time when she was crowned Miss World, half of the things written about her were pure fiction. Moreover, she emphasised that she has never taken any of the rumours about her personal life in the media too seriously.

In her personal life, Manushi Chillar has been rumoured to be in a relationship with the leading businessman and founder of the group, Zerodha, Nikhil Kamath. The duo has been speculated to be dating one another since 2021. While they have never spoken or accepted the same in the public eye, they are often spotted together in various places, as they seem to spend time together. For instance, back in 2021, Manushi and Nikhil had travelled together to Rishikesh and spent their holidays together. Moreover, they were even spotted offering prayers at a temple with one another.
