Kriti Sanon achieved a milestone in her career in 2023 as she bagged the National Award for Best Actress for her film, Mimi. Along with it, she received many other accolades and acclamations in the same year. Besides being an exceptional actress, she also made her foot strong in the business domain. She recently launched her cosmetic brand, Hyphen, as well as her production house, Blue Butterfly Films. Moreover, Kriti is all set to be seen in her next film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, co-starring Shahid Kapoor. Thus, when Kriti was spotted with Shahid Kapoor, her public stance yet again got the netizens' attention.
On January 25, 2024, late at night, Kriti Sanon was spotted exiting the airport along with Shahid Kapoor. While Shahid donned a 'Kapoor' mentioned pullover along with matching-hued pants, Kriti stunned in a maroon high-neck sweatshirt paired with dark blue-hued denims. They were seen conversing with each other while leaving the airport. Soon, a fan approached them to shake hands. Although Kriti was in the front, the fan ran towards Shahid and shook hands with him first.

On the other hand, Kriti was seen bypassing the fan and Shahid while they were shaking hands. Soon, the fan turned towards Kriti and thought of shaking hands with her. The fan also took her hand towards Kriti, but the actress had already walked forward and somehow missed out on noticing it. Thus, the fan remained ignored and was seen making some hand gestures to reduce the embarrassment.
As soon as the video was posted online, netizens rushed to the comment section to react to it. While one user mentioned, "She didn't shake hands with her, it is soo rude", another netizen penned, "Kriti sanon should also have shooked hand with her." One more netizen commented, "Ye ladki na phel to kriti ki beizati ki fir apni khud ki beizati kar wali."

This was not the first time when Kriti faced a huge backlash from the netizens. Earlier, on January 18, 2024, the trailer of Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, was released, and they, too, graced the occasion. For the day, Kriti wore a black-hued velvet sleeveless corset dress that featured a slanted thigh-high slit and was adorned with a ruffle detail. She completed her look with open tresses, smokey eyes, subtle makeup and black heels. However, a Reddit user shared a glimpse of Kriti and captioned it as "That dress looks weird". Soon, many other unimpressed netizens started commenting on Kriti’s look.

Earlier, Kriti shared the video of her song, Laal Peeli Akhiyan, which showcased the latter making a comeback to the dance floor with some of the swiftest moves. However, it was Kriti Sanon’s gorgeous desi avatar in a turquoise blue saree and a matching-hued sparkly blouse that raised many questions. While a section of netizens loved Kriti’s andaaz in the song, a few others pointed out how her look from the song is copied from Deepika Padukone’s look from the song, Badtameez Dil from the film, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Not just Kriti’s look, but even the song's poster and the ambience of the set to Shahid’s all-black look seem identical to the 2013 hit film. Pointing out the similarities, netizens penned witty reactions in their further respective tweets.
