Kiara Advani was born on July 31, 1992, in a Sindhi family. Her father, Jagdeep Advani, is a Sindhi businessman, and her mother, Genevieve Jaffrey, is a teacher. Kiara Advani's real name is Alia Advani. However, she changed her name on the advice of the superstar, Salman Khan. The reason behind it was simple, there was another successful actress, Alia Bhatt in the industry.

In her early 20s, Kiara auditioned for the film, Fugly, and she was selected for the role. At the age of 23, the film, Fugly (2014) was released, and it became an instant success. However, her role didn't win hearts. Two years later, Kiara appeared in the film, MS Dhoni (2016), and everyone instantly fell in love with her innocence which was clearly visible on the silver screen. 

However, Kiara had a long way to become one of the top actresses in the nation. She had strings of flop films in her kitty, but she made a mark with Lust Stories. At the age of 28, Kiara won hearts with the role of 'Preeti' in Shahid Kapoor-starrer, Kabir Singh.

When she was 30, she portrayed the role of Dimple Cheema in the biographical film, Shershaah, opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The film was based on the Kargil-war hero, Vikram Batra, and fans instantly fell in love with Kiara and Sidharth's on-screen jodi.
