Karisma Kapoor is the first lady from the Kapoor clan, who stepped into the film industry. Karisma not only challenged her family and became the top actress of her time, but she also played some challenging roles on the silver screen. It won't be wrong to say that Karisma took the legacy of her grandfather, Raj Kapoor, ahead with excellent work. Recently, Karisma Kapoor's hit film, Raja Hindustani director, Dharmesh Darshan shared a shocking detail claiming that the actress told once that she saw her grandfather 'pull women by hair'.
In an interaction with Lehren Retro, famous director, Dharmesh Darshan revealed a shocking detail about yesteryear superstar, Raj Kapoor. As narrated by Dharmesh, when they were shooting for a song in the film, Raja Hindustani, there was a scene where Aamir was supposed to pull Karisma's hair. However, Aamir wasn't in favour of shooting the scene, and he suggested that instead of pulling Karisma's hair, he should pull her by her arm.

But it was Karisma, who insisted they shoot the scene as planned. She even gave her own grandfather, Raj Kapoor's example and revealed that she has seen him pull women's hair. The director was quoted as saying:
"She took me to a corner. She requested we do it. She said, ‘I’ve seen my grandfather do it sometimes. Forget his films. In real life.' When she told me that, I went to Aamir and said, ‘No one take this, one take that. Just straight up pull her hair'."
Raj Kapoor was married to Krishna Raj Kapoor, but he was often linked to many actresses with, whom he worked. In fact, it was a past that kept haunting him all through his life. In a documentary about his life produced by Prasar Bharti, the legend addressed the rumours and explained the relationship he shared with his wife and legendary actress, Nargis, with whom he worked on 18 films. He added that 'nobody cheated anybody'.
Talking about the same, Raj Kapoor revealed that he had drawn a line with Nargis. He was quoted as saying
"Right from the very beginning, from the word go, I drew a line. And it’s a very, very straight fact that my wife is not my actress, and my actress is not my wife. By my wife, I mean the mother of my children. So, my home life, somewhere or the other, was there. Krishna was the mother of my children. While here was my actress. She would share, and have that satisfaction of having contributed to my creativity. That is her satisfaction."
For those who don't know, Karisma Kapoor tied the knot with Delhi-based businessman, Sanjay Kapur in 2003. It all happened after her broken engagement with Abhishek Bachchan. They also have two children together. However, after ten years of togetherness, Karisma ended her marriage. It resulted in an ugly divorce battle and a lot of blame games. As a result, the couple was granted divorce in 2016.
