Popular actor, Darsh Mody is on cloud nine as he is all set to tie the knot with the love of his life, Kriti Chhabra in January 2024. For the same, the enthusiastic actor also revealed about being on a break from his career. On the professional front, he is known for his stint in popular films, web series and TV shows, including Raghu, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and Crackdown, among others. Last, he was seen in the television show, Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya Shiv Shakti, in 2023.
As per a report in ETimes, Darsh Mody will get married to his fiancee, Kriti Chhabra on January 28, 2024. For the unversed, Kriti is a model and makeup artist by profession. They will get married at a royal palace in Rajasthan. if reports are to be believed, they got engaged on April 1, 2023. However, unlike the usual ritual, post engagement, when they were set to get rokafied on December 31, 2023, Darsh formally proposed to Kriti and set the trends.

Now, in a conversation with the ETimes, Darsh opened up about his love story with his ladylove, Kriti. The actor revealed that they met on July 17, 2021, at a mutual friend's house party, and it was love at first sight moment for the two of them. Calling their union 'destiny', the actor mentioned that he was initially reluctant to attend the house party as it was his mother's birthday that day. However, later, he changed his mind and went there only to find the love of his life. He said:
“We met at a house party hosted by Kriti. Interestingly, I initially didn’t want to attend it because it coincided with my mother’s birthday. However, I am glad I had a change of heart and I ended up going there because that’s where I met Kriti. And here we are now. I believe it was destiny. We fell in love almost instantly. The party took place on July 17, 2021, and we officially started dating a week later on July 24."
In the same conversation, Darsh mentioned that currently he is on a break from acting, as he wants to focus entirely on his wedding. Further, he was asked how, unlike other celebrities, he shared the news ahead of his wedding with Kriti with the media and his fans. To this, the handsome actor mentioned that he has no such reservations about keeping his personal life private, and shared:
“I was shooting for Shiv Shakti until recently and I am pleased with the positive feedback I have received for my track. I want to take a short break for my wedding and will be back soon with an amazing show. In today’s world if people establish a connection with you, they love you forever. In fact, they want to connect more with the real you. There is a curiosity to know about every aspect of our lives. I believe that when we show them our genuine selves on social media, sharing our life, our family, and even intimate details like a wedding, they appreciate it leading to a stronger connection.”

On December 31, 2023, Darsh popped the million-dollar question of marriage to Kriti. It was a dreamy moment for the couple on a yacht, and the actor can be seen surprising his fiancee with beautiful arrangements made for her in a video shared by them. For the same, while Darsh looked handsome in a white shirt and black pants, Kriti stunned in a black satin dress. Sharing the video, the makeup artist mentioned that even though they were engaged amid the presence of their families, she wanted a proper proposal from him. Thus, revealing the completely surprising moment, she penned a long note.
