In a throwback video that surfaced online, the duo can be seen sharing a warm hug with each other at an event, and the moment quickly grabbed everyone's attention. While Rekha was seen dressed in a golden-coloured saree, Rekha donned a pink-hued banarasi saree. Rekha walked towards Jaya, and both looked at each other and hugged. The actresses also interacted with each other and posed for the camera, after which, Jaya asked Rekha to sit next to her. Their unexpected reunion at the award show left everyone surprised.

For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan shared the silver screen with his wife, Jaya Bachchan, and his alleged ladylove, Rekha, as they worked together in the film, Silsila. It is reported that the film was inspired by Big B’s life, and it was a huge hit at the box office. However, after that, Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha never shared the screen space with each other. Though Rekha is not very much active in the acting world now, she often makes appearances at award shows and other events.
Recently, the 64-year-old actress, Rekha turned the covergirl of the International magazine, Vogue Dubai. For the photoshoot, she donned a Manish Malhotra saree with a 161.62-carat diamond neckpiece and also flaunted sindoor. In her rare interview with the International magazine, the actress hinted at her infamous love affair with Amitabh Bachchan. Rekha talked about her views on love and relationships and shared that when you start loving someone or something and once a relationship is established, it is forever. She was quoted as saying:
"When you love someone or something so deeply, does the love disappear? No. Once the relationship is established it is forever. Sometimes we may want more and sometimes it’s just enough. This applies to my craft."

There is no denying the fact that Rekha was once head-over-heels in love with Amitabh Bachchan, and their alleged romance was the talk of the town. However, destiny had different plans, and the actress tied the knot with businessman, Mukesh Aggarwal. After their marriage, Rekha learnt that her husband was suffering from chronic depression, and on October 2, 1990, he decided to take his life. After her husband's tragic death by suicide, Rekha was labelled as a cold-hearted man-eater by the nation. However, she never got married again.
