Yes, on-screen mother and son, Aparna and Harshad are really special to each other in real life. Talking about the amicable camaraderie that the two share, a source revealed to the Times of India, “Aparna and Harshad are always with each other — they come and leave together. On the set, too, Harshad waits for Aparna to finish her scenes and then they head to the vanity van, which they share. Everyone on the set is aware of their special friendship. They hang out even when they are not shooting”.
When the Bombay Times contacted Aparna to probe further about her relationship with Harshad, she was quoted as saying, “Harshad and I are extremely close, primarily because both of us are from Delhi. Secondly, for the first two months, all our scenes were with each other. The show required me to speak in chaste Hindi, which I am really bad at. My director was upset with me, and I would cry my heart out in front of Harshad.”
She further added, “He helped me so much, there came a point when I would seek his approval after my scenes were shot. That’s how we bonded. We spend a lot of time together; both of us are foodies and that’s another thing we bond over. Adding further if this friendship stands a chance to turn into love, the actress replied, “I can’t talk about the future. It may or may not happen”.
Harshad commented, “Aparna is jovial and gets along with everyone. She is like a live-wire on the set. We have a lot of scenes together, we eat together and share the same vanity van. We bond over food, acting and films. I have dropped her home on a couple of occasions when it was raining heavily. I have also dropped other unit members, but no one talks about that. I am used to such rumours, as I have a history of being associated with my co-actors”.
For the uninitiated ones, it must also be mentioned here that last year, Harshad was rumoured to be in love with her Dahleez co-star, Tridha Choudhary.
However, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Tridha had denied such reports and said, “Harshad is my best friend and he has been a constant support. We hang out with each other, but we are not dating. Not yet. I am only 22, I don't think this is the time to think of marriage or dating guys. I am focussed on my work”. Harshad, on the other hand, had clarified, “In our line we are always linked up with our immediate co-star and people love when something is on between the main protagonists. Yes, we do have a lot of pictures but they are also with other co-stars. All actors are staying in the same resort, so there are some together and some individually”.
