For those who don't know, Glenn Maxwell tied the knot with highs long-time girlfriend, Vini Raman on March 18, 2022, in a Christian wedding. Later they tied the knot in Chennai as per the traditional Tamil ceremony on March 27, 2022. However, the cricketer dedicated to his work and love for cricket, immediately resumed playing for the Indian Premier Leage 2022, and wasn't able to celebrate his new journey with his family and friends. But his team got together and hosted a reception party for the couple on April 27, 2022.

Since it was a celebration during the pandemic, team Royal Challengers Bangalore hosted a reception for Glenn and his then-newly-wedding wife, Vini Raman at the team's bio-bubble hotel, Taj Lands End in Mumbai. For the reception, Vini was decked up in an ivory-hued lehenga with a golden fish-style blouse and mirror-work detailing. On the other hand, Glenn was decked up in a golden-toned sherwani.
In one of the pictures, we could see Vini and Glenn cutting a vanilla cake with white-frosting and pastel rose flowers topper. The reception was attended by Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma. For the unversed, Anushka had aced her desi look for the reception in a pink-hued outfit. She had picked a silk chanderi kurta set from the shelves of Sureena Chowdhary, which was priced at Rs. 16,900. On the other hand, Virat had worn a navy-blue kurta.
South African cricketer, Faf Du Plessis and his wife, Imari Du Plessis also attended the wedding reception. The handsome cricketer's wife, Imari, had channeled her desi vibes in a green and golden chanderi saree. While everyone loved her desi look, Anushka's fans were quick to notice an interesting detail about the saree. In 2018, Anushka had worn the same green saree when she was felicitated with the Smita Patil Award at the 34th edition of the Priyadarshini Academy Global Awards in Mumbai.
