Popular television actress, Dolly Sohi passed away in the wee hours of March 8, 2024, after a long battle with cervical cancer. The news came as a shock to the entire television industry and the actress' massive fanbase is completely shattered. However, the most heartbreaking news is that Dolly's sister, Amandeep Sohi, who was also an actress, died on March 7, 2024, after being diagnosed with jaundice.
In an interview with India Today, Dolly Sohi's brother, Mannu Sohi, confirmed the news of his sister's death. He further shared that their family is devastated after losing both sisters in just a few hours. He also shared that Dolly's funeral will be held in the afternoon and added:
“Dolly passed away around 4am this morning. Both, Dolly and Amandeep were admitted to Apollo Hospital in New Mumbai. Amandeep passed away yesterday and now Dolly. We are completely devastated.”

Meanwhile, Dolly Sohi's family also issued a statement to inform everyone about the actress’s death and shared that they all are in a state of shock at the loss. Their note could be read as:
“Our beloved Dolly has left for her heavenly abode today early morning. We are in a state of shock with the loss. The final rites shall be conducted today afternoon. Will share further details.”
Dolly Sohi was battling with cervical cancer for a long time and going through chemotherapy. Last year, the actress shared a photo of herself after a chemotherapy session and penned a note describing his emotions about her difficult journey. Her note could be read as:
“THANK U EVERYONE FOR SENDING YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS Life has been a Roller Coaster lately, But if u have the strength to fight with it then ur journey becomes easier. It’s up to u what do u choose to be A Victim Of Journey (CANCER) Or A Survivor Of Journey.”
