Now, in an interview, she opened up about the same and revealed what inspired her for the same. And I had seen this lady perform a wedding, and I thought it was the most magical, most honest, most beautiful experience I had had in my life. And I wanted it for us, which is why we went with a female pandit."

"That went on to create conversation. It made people say, 'Hey, if she could have a female pandit that her wedding. Whay can't we?' And what a wonderful thing for it to have because suddenly a lot of people sat up and said 'accha they exist.' It's not a job that is monopolised solely by men, just like every other job."
For the intimate wedding at their home garden, Dia opted for a red Banarasi saree by Raw Mango. She paired her laal shaadi ka joda with a choker set, jhumki, maang teeka, green Maharashtrian bangles and gajra. On the other hand, Vaibhav looked handsome in a white kurta-pyjama, along with a matching Nehru jacket. In a video that surfaced on the internet, Vaibhav’s daughter, Samaira was seen leading Dia towards the mandap, while holding a “Papa’s Girls” placard. This proved the two ladies' love for each other.
