Dia reveals how failures and criticisms used to affect her personally

In the concluding segment of her interaction, Dia talked about facing an equal share of failure and criticism in her career so far, and added how, in her younger years, these used to affect her quite personally. She mentioned how, at a young age, she had to commodify herself in the industry, and thus it made her more vulnerable to personal attacks in failures. In her words:

“It’s very hard to navigate life in the real world as a woman and especially as a young woman and more so in a world that is so patriarchal. But more in our industry because we are commodified when we are young because everybody is trying to sell something. So, the failures of our subject become personal and the attacks fee; extremely personal.”
