Bengali actress, Devlina Kumar is known for her stint in the films, including Raktabeej, Mayaa, Datta, Clown and Circus Er Ghora to name a few. Besides acting, she is also a professional dancer and founder of her dance school, Lai Haraoba. On the work front, Devlina will next be seen in Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s film, Raktabeej, co-starring Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty and Victor Banerjee in the lead. Recently, she shared some underwater pictures of herself. However, one netizen started comparing her pictures to that of Alia Bhatt's 2019 Vogue photoshoot.
Taking to her IG handle on October 3, 2023, Devlina Kumar shared a series of underwater pictures of herself. In the pictures, she was donning a neon-hued monokini and looked absolutely stunning. She kept her look minimal and tied her hair in a messy bun hairdo. Alongside the pictures, she penned:
"Flexing in water."

As soon as she dropped the pictures, her fans dropped several comments to praise her look in the scintillating glimpses. However, one netizen didn’t miss the chance to troll her. As per a report in TOI, drawing a comparison with Alia Bhatt’s pose from the latter's 2019 Vogue photoshoot, the netizen wrote, “Don’t try to look like Alia.” Another user also asked, “Why are you trying to copy Alia Bhatt?” Soon, the comments were deleted from the viral post and were no longer seen.
Talking about Alia Bhatt's 2019 photoshoot with the fashion magazine, Vogue, the actress was styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania. While hair was done by Yianni Tsapatori, her makeup was done by Puneet B Saini. Her photographs were clicked by ace photographer, Sumer Verma. In the pictures, Alia too donned some stunning monokinis and looked ravishing.

This was not the first time when Devlina faced such backlash on social media for her pictures and videos. Earlier, when she had posted a dancing video of herself on her IG handle, the self-appointed fashion police of the internet had criticized her look. In the video, Devlina was seen wearing a cotton saree paired with a red-hued sleeveless blouse while dancing on the song, Kajra re.
