The duo has often raised eyebrows for their speculated rapport with each other. However, it looks like Deepika has buried the hatchet with Priyanka, as she tagged the latter in her recent post.
On January 31, 2024, Deepika Padukone took to her IG stories and shared a video of Priyanka Chopra's husband, Nick Jonas, performing on the stage with singer, King. The video was from a recent fest, which was held in Mumbai. Sharing the video, Deepika tagged Nick, Priyanka and King on her post and added a 'So Cool' sticker atop it. Now, a Reddit user shared a screengrab of the same and penned:
"Deepika’s IG story for Nick and King. Even tagged Priyanka. Probably the first time she has posted sucha story."

Soon after the post was shared on Reddit, netizens flooded the comment section. Reacting to the post, one user penned, "Looking at her instagram I thought she had a team to handle it. Looks like she is quite active on insta." Another commented, "Deepika seems to have entered her mommy era. Smiles softly, remains gentle and graceful and prolly dnt want any bs anymore. Love to see it. You go gorgeous!!"
Deepika Padukone, once in an interview with the Hindustan Times, reacted to the rumours about her rivalry with Priyanka Chopra. She shared that the speculations make her feel weird, as she has known Priyanka for so many years and she doesn't believe that they are professional rivals. Reflecting on the same, Deepika shared:
"I like the fact that you use the word ‘friend’, because that’s what she is to me. So, every time I read anything that doesn’t say that (we are friends), it really surprises me. I have always said that she is someone I’ve known for many years. I feel extremely awkward and weird when such comparisons are made, because I don’t even believe that we are professional rivals. We never were. So, why should we be now? She is doing amazing work in her own space. And what her work will require from her in terms of time and other commitments are different from what I am working towards or what I am doing."

In an interview with Vogue India, when Deepika Padukone was asked if she eventually plans to move out of the country and create a global impact, she gave an empathetic response. Strongly reacting to the proposal, the actress revealed that during her initial years in Mumbai, she got an offer to move overseas, and even many fashion gurus recommended her to accept it. However, Deepika shared that she feels India is her home and said:
“Why do I need to move with bag and baggage to have global impact? Early on in my modelling career, I had an offer to move overseas and all of the fashion gurus in India said, ‘You shouldn’t be here, you should be in Paris, New York or Milan,’ and I was like, ‘No, those places are not my home. India is home.’”
