Ankita Lokhande has shared a beautiful relationship with her ex-beau, Sushant Singh Rajput. And when the industry was trying to project Sushant Singh Rajput as a 'depressive person' after his demise, Ankita was the one who stood up for him. She not only supported Sushant's family but also shared that she was sure that he had not committed suicide. While Ankita Lokhande has moved on in her life with Vicky Jain, she often remembers her past love on the reality show, Big Boss 17.
A clip from Bigg Boss 17 has gone viral, wherein Ankita Lokhande was conversing with co-contestant Abhishek Kumar. The actress told him whenever he roams around in pants and without a shirt, he reminds her of Sushant Singh Rajput. Ankita shared that his physique was exactly like Sushant's body type. She was quoted as saying:
"Tu bina shirt ke ghumta hai na toh mujhe bahut Sushant jaisa lagta hai."

When Abhishek shared that their journey is also the same, Ankita agreed but shared that he was extremely calm and very hardworking. She added that he was a perfectionist while she was easy-go-lucky. He would dive deep into things. Ankita also revealed that Sushant would get affected by what people talked about him on Twitter as he didn't have anybody to stand up for him. However, Ankita broke down while talking about him, after which, Abhishek apologised for bringing up the topic. To this, Ankita said:
"Nahi theek hai.. Uske baare mein baat karna acha lagta hai.. proud feeling aati. He was a family."

Earlier, during one of the episodes, Ankita Lokhande addressed her painful breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput. She revealed it wasn't just her but her parents, who were shattered. In the episode, Ankita Lokhande was seen in a discussion with Munawar Faruqui, she revealed that she had been in a relationship with Sushant for several years. However, Sushant called it quits within a night. She had said:
"Uska jaana ek alag cheez thi. Main tut gyi, mere maa baap tut gye.."
Munawar further probed how Ankita was trolled after Sushant's death in 2020. Ankita revealed that she jumped into the matter as she wanted to let people know who the real Sushant was. Ankita further shared the real reason for the breakup and stated that it happened in a night, without informing her. Addressing the same, Ankita stated:
"Main kahi involved nahi thi, fir bhi main khadi hui because main chahti ki log jaane vo kaun tha. Log tab kaha the, jab mera breakup chal raha tha. Main vo phase akele gujazara. There was no reason for breakup. El raat mein cheeze change hui meri life mein. Mera concern tha ki mujhe batakar cheezein karta, to mujhe pata rehta. Uski aankhon mein dikhne lag gya ki koi cheez nahi hai.
