Bigg Boss 17 is one of the most talked about reality shows that are currently on air. The show just had its family episode where family members of every contestant entered the house and added kerosene to the already lit environment. Ankita Lokhande and her husband, Vicky Jain, are this year's most talked about celebrities, and the family episode added more masala to their already controversial season.
Ankita's saasu maa, Ranjana Jain entered the show on BB's family week episode. She garnered much attention for lecturing Ankita Lokhande for her behaviour and defending Vicky Jain for all his wrongdoings. Soon after her exit, Ranjana gave certain media interviews, which the netizens didn't take well as they did not like Ankita's mother-in-law's action of glorifying Vicky's toxic behaviour and blaming it all on Ankita. However, now Ankita's dear friend, Kangana Ranaut, has come to the forefront to defend her mother-in-law and Vicky.

Kangana took to her Twitter handle and revealed that Vicky has always supported Ankita and even has gone against his family to do the same. Kangana revealed that Vicky stood by Ankita after Sushant left her and her house caught fire. She further divulged that her in-laws were in shock when Ankita was obsessively talking about Sushant Singh Rajput as they come from a conservative setup, but Vicky always stood his ground and supported Ankita. Kangana Ranaut further added:
"Stop calling Ankita's in-laws names. After Shushant left Ankita, her house caught fire, she was devastated, who stood by her? Vicky stood by her against his conservative and traditionalist family who were shocked by her open love affair and fall out with Shushant which she kept talking about obsessively."
Kangana Ranaut defends Ankita's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain's actions and blames the media for sensationalising the latter's actions and statements. The Tejas actress added that Ranjana comes from a conservative background where a lot of things, like playfully hitting the husband and kicking him aren't normal. She further added that filmy and urban lifestyles are very different from rural conservative setups, which is why her way of thinking is different than ours, and we must not troll her. In Kangana's words:
"Media needs to calm down, Media needs to stop behaving like they don't know what small town families, culture and traditions are like. Slapping, abusing and kicking each other can be cool in filmi environment, where they get married for media attention to each other's girlfriends and party together post divorce. For someone like Vicky's mom, whose family worth is more than all filmi heros combined together and who herself dresses in sindoor, bindi and traditional jewellery and clothes every day, and selflessly with single minded focus serving her husband, children and his family since she was a teenager will have her own strong point of view for how to make marriage and household systems work."

Taking to her Instagram account, Kangana Ranaut added that Ankita Lokhande's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain, is rooting for her and loves her immensely. It's the media that is twisting her words and portraying her in a negative light. She added that family is the only constant source of support in one's life.
