Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava had been one such couple with whom, happiness had played a brutal game. Ankita and Karan had got married on May 3, 2015. After a miscarriage, Ankita's second pregnancy and their daughter, Mehr's birth had made her a rainbow child for her parents. The couple was blessed with their little princess on December 14, 2019, and since then, their life has been filled with sheer happiness.
As we said, Mehr is not Ankita Bhargava and Karan Patel’s first child. The couple was supposed to welcome their first baby in November 2018, but unfortunately, Ankita had suffered a miscarriage in June 2018. Now, a social media user asked Ankita if she and Karan have plans to welcome another baby into their lives.
On January 11, 2021, Ankita Bhargava hosted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on her IG handle to interact with her fans and they bombarded her with questions regarding breastfeeding, parenting, baby delivery and other such things. However, one fan asked Ankita about her plans to have a second child and wrote, “Second baby thoughts?” To which, Ankita clearly mentioned that she doesn’t think it is the right time to bring a baby into this world. She replied:
“To be very honest and real, this pandemic has made it very clear, it is not the right time to get more innocent lives into this big bad dangerous world! Sorry but that’s what I feel.”
In June 2020, Ankita had shared a series of pictures on her IG handle, recalling the unfortunate day of her miscarriage, how the couple had dealt with the loss, and how her husband, Karan Patel had turned out to be her biggest strength. She had captioned her post as:
“Technically i wrote this a few days ago,But it took me time to muster up the courage to make this post! This is by far the most personal post that im ever going to write,With hopes that i can make atleast a little difference in someones life... At first i didnt want to talk about it to anyone at all... But then after having counselled more than TWO DOZEN women over dmz on instagram all over the country, I realised it is time I openly talk about ‘MY MISCARRIAGE’ The most important takeaway for me from this experience was.... DONT KEEP RELIVING THE PAST. DONT KEEP WAITING FOR THE FUTURE. JUST SIMPLY LIVE IN THE PRESENT. I hope this helps…”
Narrating her story and recalling the day she actually had her miscarriage, she had shared how it was a normal day and she was planning to fly to Thailand for an ad shoot after getting a certificate from her gynac. She had shared that there was no explanation and she had just lost her child. There was nothing wrong she had done, but still, her baby was taken away from her.
Ankita had further shared how she and her husband, Karan had felt the emptiness, and they both had a different approach to dealing with the pain. She had further added that everything in their healing process had reminded them about their lost child as they had lost a big part of their heart. She had also acknowledged Karan being her biggest strength during those difficult days.
In the end, Ankita had shared the things that she had learned from this unfortunate incident of her life. She had shared that it is important to cry your heart out as it is therapeutic and healing. Ending her note, she had shared the name the couple had decided for their unborn child. She had written:
“There is a patch on our hearts with their name on it…. And mine reads…. ‘Akia’.”
