Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava belong to the telly world and despite her father working with the actor, they had never met. It was Karan’s co-star, Aly Goni, who had played the role of a Cupid between them, setting them up with each other. In a chat mangni, pat byaah, Karan and Ankita had become husband and wife on May 3, 2015. Four years later, in 2019, they welcomed their miracle child, Mehr Patel, and now their world revolves around her.
On May 1, 2015, Ankita Bhargava and Karan Patel's sangeet and engagement ceremony had taken place and to mark their sixth anniversary, she had shared a compilation of pictures from the function. For the sangeet ceremony, Ankita had worn an orange and turquoise-coloured lehenga with minimal jewellery and makeup. Karan had picked a blue-coloured Jodhpuri-western suit. Ankita had captioned the video as:
"A lil throwback of a few unseen pictures from our Sangeet & Engagement 6 years ago! 01.05.2015 #throwback #engagement #sangeet @karan9198."

On November 25, 2021, Ankita took to her IG stories to share how she got her nails painted for the sake of her daughter, Mehr. In the video, the nail artist can be seen applying polish on her nails, and her huge engagement ring caught our attention. Ankita’s engagement ring has an oval-shaped huge diamond in the centre and a series of small diamonds surrounding it. Atop her story, Ankita mentioned the reason for getting her nails painted and wrote:
“Getting my nails painted in this colour so that Mehr can differentiate between peach & orange.”
Ankita and Karan have inculcated reading and learning habits in their daughter, Mehr since she was two months old. On March 15, 2021, Ankita had taken to her IG handle and had shared pictures of Mehr reading her book. Along with the pictures, Ankita had revealed how she had inculcated the habit of reading in Mehr from a very early stage. Revealing the reason behind putting Mehr into this habit, Ankita had written:
“Mehr was yet to be born when I had decided that I would want my baby to inculcate the habit of reading right from the start. This is one addiction I wish I Had! But I never land up finishing any book that i start reading, I always leave it mid way! Sadly!”

Ankita had further revealed how she had begun the process of reading and had stated that she had pre-ordered some books when Mehr was a baby. She had continued:
“For the FIRST & SECOND MONTH I had pre ordered some high contrast flash cards apt for new born babies.Since they dont really see colors for the first few weeks of life. Black and white cards with various shapes and images. Hold these cards 10-12” away from the baby and let them glance at the images. Use one card at a time. Keep showing the same card for 3-4 days before introducing the next one.Also keep telling your baby what it is that you are showing them for eg A Circle, Square, Rabbit etc etc. Be slow. Be Patient. You can get these cards in any baby shop or you can also make them at home with a black marker and white paper.”
Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava were blessed with Mehr on December 14, 2019.
