Recently, a few videos and stills from Akshay Kumar offering prayers at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain went viral. In this video, the actor can be seen being indulged in puja. Akshay's son, Aarav, his sister, Alka Bhatia, and his niece also joined him. All the family members can be seen doing Bhasma Aarti and offering prayers to Lord Shiva. While Akshay can be seen wearing an orange dhoti and angavastarm, his son, Aarav can be seen wearing a white kurta.

Cricketer, Shikhar Dhawan, who failed to get a space in the XI of the Indian cricket squad for the ongoing Asia Cup, can also be seen offering prayer to Lord Shiva in the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. The handsome cricketer can be seen looking dapper in a white-hued kurta pyjama set.
At the end of their puja, Shikhar and Akshay also came forward for a short interaction with the media. Both the actor and the cricketer talked about Mahadev's charm and charisma. When the interviewer asked Shikhar about the upcoming India-Pakistan match on September 10, 2023, the cricketer said that he really hopes that India would win. Further, the interviewer asked Shikhar about the World Cup. To this, Akshahy playfully added that these all are small things, as in the Mahakaleshwar temple, people come to ask for bigger things.

However, after the announcement, Shikhar took to his X(previously Twitter) handle and shared a heartfelt message to wish team India and his colleagues to bring the cup to the country.
