Raveena Tandon was a rage in the 90s, and she has given some amazing performances in movies like Dilwale, Mohra, Laadla, Andaz Apna Apna, and many more. Apart from her professional life, Raveena's affair with actor, Akshay Kumar was one of the hottest topics in the tabloids. Though the duo had an ugly spat and parted ways, it looks like they are going to reunite on the silver screen after 19 years for their upcoming movie.
A report in Filmfare stated that one of the most loved films, Welcome, released on Christmas 2007, will soon have its sequel released. For the unversed, Welcome featured Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, while Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal and Feroz Khan were in pivotal roles. Now that the next film in the series is being planned, it is speculated that Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar will play the leads.

A while back, Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon appeared together at the HT India’s Most Stylish 2023 awards after almost twenty years of breakup. The former couple certainly grabbed many eyeballs with their camaraderie. At the event, when Akshay was awarded the Style Hall of Fame – Male title, Raveena called out his name on stage and handed the prize to him. Moreover, in yet another video, the ex-couple was seen engaged in chit-chat, leaving the fans in awe of them.

Earlier, in an interview with the ETimes, Raveena Tandon talked about her equation with Akshay Kumar, almost two decades after their breakup. Talking about the same, she shared that she and Akshay are still friends. Raveena also added that things happen, but people should learn to move on. Further, heaping praise on Akshay, the actress called him one of the strongest pillars of the industry. Raveena said:
"Akshay and I are still friends. You need to respect it and move on. I think of him very highly. I think he is one of the strongest pillars of our industry."

It was in 1994, on the sets of Mohra, when Akshay and Raveena met, and their love life took a turn. In a 1999 interview with the Stardust, Raveena cleared the air on her engagement and why Akshay had, back then, kept himself tight-lipped about the same. According to her, Akshay was a rising star and had a huge female fan following. He was scared that he might lose out on his female fans and his Bollywood career might come to a standstill if the news of his engagement was leaked.
