Rakhi Sawant's ex-husband, Adil Khan Durrani, tied the knot for the second time with Bigg Boss 12 contestant, Somi Khan in a nikah ceremony on March 3, 2024. The duo had opted for a low-key wedding to steer away from media glares and protect their marriage from any negativity. The news of their wedding came as a shock to the entire nation as Adil had not filed for divorce from Rakhi Sawant yet.
Now, Adil Khan and Somi Khan sat for an interview with ETimes TV and spilt the beans about their hush-hush wedding. Talking about the same, Adil revealed that his wedding with Rakhi Sawant was null and void as the latter was already married to someone else when they tied the knot. He further added that he has a right to get married again and said:
"If you talk about my wedding with Rakhi Sawant, it stands null and void as when we got married, she was already married to someone else. Mujhe dhokhe mein rakh ke usne kiya tha. There's already a court case going on. Many people have this question in their mind, how did I get married again? Alhamdulillah, I have the full right to get married again as I'm a Muslim, and I can get married."

Shedding light on his wedding with Somi Khan, Adil shared that they had a proper nikah in the presence of their respective family members. He added that both families were satisfied with the marriage, after which, they also hosted a reception party. Mentioning that he has been roaming around freely with his wife, Adil said:
"I have done nikah properly in the presence of my family. I did not have a secret wedding. Bina family ke, band kamre mein nikah nahi kiya hai maine. I have given Meher proper and with the approval of both Somi and my family. I also did a reception. After getting married officially to Somi, main ghoom raha hoon apni biwi Somi ke saath. I'm allowed to get married."
Speaking along the same lines, Somi Khan shared that Adil has the right to move on in life, be happy, and choose a partner. She emphasised that if a person has gone through difficult times in the past, they should not keep sulking over it. Somi mentioned that she will always be Adil's support and said:
"We have done all the rituals, properly as it is done in marriages. And not just only as a Muslim but also as a human being he has the full right to move on in life, be happy and choose a partner for himself. I don't see anything wrong with it. Harr insaan ko aage badhna chahiye life mein. If something wrong has happened to you, it doesn't mean you will stop and keep sulking over it. For your own sanity and to protect it you should move on in life. I feel he has done the right thing and I'm always in his support, not just as his wife but also as a human."

Adil acknowledged that his wedding with Somi might be seen as a publicity move. But he shared that he wishes to leave behind his past with Rakhi Sawant as the latter can't bring happiness to anyone. He also slammed Rakhi for always spreading negativity and said that he is very happy and peaceful with Somi. In his words:
"I know each and everything about her (Rakhi Sawant). Joh bhi Woh bol rahi hai kar rahi hai... she has done a lot of bad things in my life and now I deserve to live a good life and I'm living one right now. I have an amazing life and I didn't know I would get such a good partner so early after the ugly past. Jeetna bhi Woh negativity karna chahti hai karne do. She has always spread negativity and she can never give happiness to anyone. Woh Kisi bhi insaan ke life mein enter karke khushiyaan nahi de sakti hai, I'm not like her. I like to spread happiness and Somi has brought happiness in my life and I'm enjoying my happy and peaceful life with her."
