For the unversed, the king of music, A.R. Rahman tied the knot with his partner for life, Saira Banu, in 1995. The duo is blessed with three children, Khatija, Raheema, and AR Ameen. However, earlier in an interview, the music composer talked about how marriage has changed him. And now, in another interview, the music composer shared a cutesy anecdote from his marital life.
In an interview with Lilly Singh, A.R. Rahman revealed that his wife, Saira Banu takes styling seriously and dresses him up. Further in the interview, the singer mentioned that his wife has been doing this for the last 10-15 years. He shared that his wife, Saira Banu, loves doing these kinds of stuff. He also stated that his swag comes from his wife only. Elaborating more on the same, the talented artist mentioned:
"My wife actually takes it (styling) seriously. You know, she dresses me up. For the past 10 to 15 years, she’s been buying stuff, and she thinks it’ll be cool. I think she loves doing that stuff. So it’s all her thing. When she gets stuff and tells me to wear it, I wear it. So all the swag comes from her."

In the same interview, A.R. Rahman mentioned that his wife, Saira Banu loves the colour black. Talking about the same, the music composer mentioned that his wife often goes for the colour black, and if he asks her for a change, she agrees. The singer called his wife a bit traditional and revealed that she is also a bit stubborn and very particular about things. Sharing the details about the same, A.R. Rahman stated:
"I think she’s a bit traditional. In fact, she often chooses black, and I asked her if I could have another colour for a change, and she agreed. She’s very stubborn and very particular about things."
In the same interview, A.R. Rahman talked about his own fashion choice. Speaking about the same, he mentioned that after a while, everyone stops caring and does what they feel like. Mentioning that he thinks himself to be from the more boring side, the singer shared:
"After a while, you stop caring. You just do it and say, ‘Oh yeah, I’m gonna do this stuff.’ Everybody laughed, but in the end, I think it turned out well. I feel like I come from the purer side, the more boring side."

For the unversed, the talented music composer, A.R. Rahman married Saira Banu as per his mother's choice. From the start, the music composer was clear about the traits he desired in a life partner. And because he didn't have time to search for a wife, he requested his mother, Kareena Begum, to do it for him. He also stated what qualities he desired in his wife, which were, first and foremost, an educated individual. Second, the female had to be attractive, and finally, he want his lady love to be humble. All three traits, however, were discovered in Saira Banu, thanks to the singer's mother, who found him the right match.
