During the same podcast, he also clarified his earlier statements on love. For the unversed, Zayn had often shared that he is still understanding the emotion, love and is not sure if he was in love with Gigi. Clarifying the statement, Zayn shared:
"Yeah. My understanding of love is always developing. At that moment in time, I might have thought it was love, but as I got older, I realised maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was lust. Maybe it was this, maybe it was that. I don't feel like it was love."
Zayn Malik further stated that he loves Gigi and has a lot of respect for her because she is the mother of their child. He explained that he will always love her but he does not know if he was in love with her during their relationship or not. In his words:
"To be fair, just to say this on the record, I will always love G, because she is the reason my child is on this earth, and I have the utmost respect for her. I will always love her, but I don't know if I was ever in love with her. I do love her a crazy amount, but no, I don't think I was in love with her at that point, otherwise I would have been a better version of myself."
As of now, Zayn Malik is not dating anyone; however, Gigi Hadid is dating Bradley Cooper. Reportedly, the two began dating in 2023.
