Josh Jacobs has been in the headlines ever since he was taken into custody on May 26, 2026. The Green Bay Packers running back is facing multiple charges related to domestic violence. The allegations are linked to an incident that happened on May 23, 2026. The NFL team has maintained silence on the matter for now, as they said in a statement to NFL Network Insider, Tom Pelissero, that they would like to avoid any comments.

According to USA Today, he is already under an agreement for the ongoing season, and he can be traded easily. The second is Najee Harris, who created records with his rushing yards while playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Josh Jacobs has dismissed all the charges against him

The latest legal issue of Josh Jacobs started last week, on May 23, 2026, when police officers responded to a disturbance call during the morning hours. The news was confirmed by police chief, Michael Renkas. However, Michael also stated that an investigation has been launched into the matter, and other details will remain confidential for now. On the other hand, Josh’s legal team, which included David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld, and Clarence Duhac, responded to the accusations in a statement, which reads:

“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public. We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.”

The upcoming match of the Green Bay Packers is scheduled for September 2026. The team is yet to take a call on who would be the next running back. For the unversed, Josh Jacobs has been accused of victim intimidation, strangulation and suffocation, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and domestic abuse battery.
