Senior JPMorgan executive, Lorna Hajdini, has been involved in a legal mess ever since the alleged victim, Chirayu Rana, claimed sexual assault by Lorna. Well, Lorna has not been the only lady to take the limelight. One of the names that has emerged in the court filings and media reports is Jon Wolter. Well, Jon has not been directly accused of doing anything wrong, but his position in the JPMorgan company has become very important to understand the hierarchy and the internal dynamics.

It is interesting to note that Jon has reportedly removed his LinkedIn profile picture. It cannot be directly confirmed, but as shown, it states that Jon is a Managing Director at JPMorgan from July 2023 to the present. It is 2 years 11 months since he is working here and is into Technology Leveraged Finance, focus on Direct Lending and Pro Rata markets.
A Hindustan Times report revealed that Lorna Hajdini reported to the managing director, Brandon Graffeo. On the other hand, Chirayu a.ka 'John Doe' was under the supervision of the managing director, Jon Wolter. Hajdini had no authority to come in between the amount related to his bonus. Even the New York post revealed that Chirayu reportedly reported to Jon and did not have a direct reporting to Hajdini. Well, the fact that Chirayu was supervised by Joe is important for the legal and ethical norms of the Lorna Hajdini case. Questions related to workplace imbalance and to Chirayu's condition are arising. The organisational hierarchy is being questioned, as it seems that Hajdini did not have direct control over Rana.
According to an HT report, Chirayu was supervised by Jon. His LinkedIn account suggested that he was responsible for monitoring employees' work performance and career progress. However, it is unclear whether he was managing Chirayu's bonuses. JPMorgan earlier carried out an internal investigation that involved scrutinising phone records, analysing emails, and interviewing team members. The inquiry has not covered anything major. A spokesperson of JPMorgan shared, according to the New York Post, that:
"Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims. While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”
Another report by HT revealed that Jon Wolter's junior, Chirayu, had used a chatbot to articulate the allegations related to the sexual assault, months before the lawsuit was initiated. In one of the messages, as quoted, he said, "I was raped, sexually assaulted, harassed, and forced to do drugs by my former boss at Morgan Stanley. I was then retaliated against for seeking to move groups internally at the firm. HR conducted an ‘investigation’ but they ultimately made me sign a separation agreement.”
