Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleBrad Paisley is one of the most renowned faces in country music. He is one of the many artists who recently paid tribute to the Queen of Country, Dolly Parton. Taking to the stage for the first time since Dolly’s passing in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he performed a solo rendition of his 2005 hit with Dolly, When I Get Where I'm Going among other songs like She's Everything, Online, and I’m Still a Guy.
Brad fought back tears as he called Dolly Parton a hero and admitted that he never imagined this day would come. Amid this, many have become curious about Brad’s personal life, especially his wife, Kimberly Williams.
Brad Paisley’s wife, Kimberly Williams, is a well-known American artist. Among her best-known works are Father of the Bride and its sequels. Kimberly has also appeared on television series like According to Jim and Nashville. Recently, she hosted the reality series The Farmer Wants a Wife.
Apart from her work as an actress, it is worth mentioning that Kimberly is a New York Times bestselling author. In her memoir, Where the Light Enters, she talks about her mother's dementia and her family's experience with the same.
Coming to her relationship with Brad Paisley, Kimberly caught his eye more than a decade ago, all thanks to her portrayal of ‘Annie Banks’ in Father of the Bride. The duo met in 2001 when Brad asked her to star in the music video for the song I'm Gonna Miss Her from his album Part II. Not long after this, Brad and Kimberly began dating.
As their relationship progressed rapidly, the country star proposed to Kimberly on a pier in Venice in Los Angeles back in 2002. Giving more insight into the proposal, Brad once said:
"I surprised her, and we were completely alone out on the end of a pier in Venice in Los Angeles. Nobody could really see us, and that was a safety net - in case she took off running down the pier."
Kimberly and Brad took everyone by surprise when they turned what was supposed to be their wedding rehearsal on March 15, 2003, into their actual wedding. The ceremony took place at a chapel on Pepperdine University’s campus in Malibu, California.
The event reportedly had a denim dress code. Kimberly left the attendees stunned when she removed her denim jacket to reveal a full-on wedding dress underneath. During an interview with Fox News Digital, Kimberly revealed what has kept her marriage with Brad going strong since then. She said:
"I heard Jamie Lee Curtis say recently, the secret is ‘Don't leave.’ I thought that was actually brilliant. Yeah, just know there's gonna be ups and downs and don't give up. That's our secret."
Kimberly said that she and Brad find time for each other and are “deliberate about it.” She admitted that there might be times when they are super busy with their respective careers; however, when they do have some downtime, the couple makes the most of it.
For those wondering about how many children Kimberly and Brad have, the duo welcomed their first child, a son named William Huckleberry in February 2007. Interestingly, the couple initially called him Will, but they soon decided to change his nickname to Huck, since he was named after Mark Twain’s character ‘Huckleberry Finn.’
Kimberly and Brad Paisley revealed that they were expecting for the second time in October 2008, admitting that they were thrilled about how Huck would have a sibling. They welcomed their second baby boy in Nashville on April 17, 2009. The duo lovingly named him Jasper Warren, with his middle name being that of Brad’s grandfather. For those unaware, he was the person who gave Brad his first guitar while also giving him the push to pursue music.
